The Roth IRA limit is $7,500 for 2026.
That's $145 a week.
If you invest $145 a week into an S&P 500 index fund for 30 years, you'll spend $225,000 of your own money.
But at retirement you should have $1.4 million.
That’s the power of compound interest.
So many young people are developing high blood pressure these days.
Here is some important advice.
1. Please check your blood pressure (BP). Don’t assume it’s okay just because you don’t have any symptoms.
2. If your BP is above 160/100, avoid running or doing intense exercise. Your heart may not be in a safe state to handle the increased demand, and you could collapse or make the situation worse.
3. If very high, yes, medication short term can be beneficial. This doesn’t mean you need to take it for life. But it could prevent serious cardiac complications like a stroke. Don’t self prescribe medication.
4. If below 160/100 change your diet immediately. Quit sugar, soda, refined grains, refined oils, processed meat . Reduce alcohol, white salt and meat. Eat healthier foods that help blood pressure (see infographic)
5. Lose weight, ensure your drinking enough water, getting enough sleep and reducing stress. These help in massive ways you can’t imagine.
6. Start with moderate exercise like walking and listen to your body. Break it down to small daily portions of about 20 - 30 minutes.
7. Start intermittent fasting. Fast daily for about 14 hours. From about 7.30pm to 10.00am. Only water in this time.
8. Consider taking magnesium glycinate, vitamin D, omega-3s, curcumin, CoQ10, and hawthorn berry. These really help to reverse high BP. Get doctor/nutritionist advice.
9. Remember most high blood pressure is reversible. You don’t always have to take medication for life.
10. Always seek professional medical advice from a qualified doctor to evaluate your health especially if you want to get off medication. Don’t just stop.

After harvest, tomatoes are sprayed with pesticides to ‘keep them fresh’. Certainly these pesticides get inside the tomatoes. I met this vendor in my village in Masaka. See what we eat. It is the same with most vegetables, and passion fruits. Farmers use whatever they can improvise, unguided, unabated. The Ministry of Agriculture has even failed to regulate these small critical things, yet they are asking for more work! The cancers from these pesticides and herbicides want spare them too.
