@umyeahnosorry@softpinkgiggles You're missing important point, stability of a civilization still depends on healthy family structures, and stability is main thing that ensures that human rights and freedoms exist. You can rebel against what you want, but still will continue to live and depend on that.
@136Division I understand why Xi is considered as one of the greatest leaders for china, I don't get why Mao is considered as such. He was revolutionary leader and mistakes that were made during his reign was only amended after his death. Even Deng xiaoping was better as a leader then Mao.
@Terenceshen If this revolution was successful, china would democratic like India, but most likely in worse economic situation, and that's in the best case scenario.
@JamieMetzl And what US government did during famine, they kept strict embargo on china, and if not some of it's allies breaking this embargo to sell grain to china there would be more deaths. Famine might be caused by shortsightedness of cpc but it was worsened by US and it was intentional.
@Andr3jH 10 years for the traveler on the spaceship, for everyone else on the earth 22000 years will pass, so on scale of building galactic civilization flying 90% of c and 99.99999 is not that different, and the former requires orders of magnitude less energy and is far less dangerous.
@TheModerateCase That's a whole point, even though gdp per capita in US is 7 times higher, living standarts for average American is marginally better than that of average chinese, so what is a point of comparing gdp per capita if it won't have any effect on quality of life.
@ruthbenghiat Unlike Americans Chinese have right to feel safe from crime, improve living standarts on annual bases, and right not to be brainwashed by politicians with useless conspiracy theories in order to get elected.
@GiaMMacool Not suicides, but enmity toward whole world, for it hasn't become how they imagined it to be. They fed on fantasies and there's no chance that they'll forgo them, or acknowladge that they were wrong.
@wynrosei It's much more comfortable to not have a child, and since modern ideologies don't focus on responsibility toward civilization, there's strong incentive to not to have one. Such societies would die off in couple of generations, so natural selection will correct this.
@BhattiLaib9960 Such age gap isn't that big of a deal, main focus should be on how mature and responsible are the couple, which is far more important for healthy relationship. Those numbers aren't telling much.
@darwintojesus That was bad example, but idea of intelligent design is not on gods side. If god created universe perfectly, with aim to create life in it, than universe would be created in such a way that no additional miracles would be required, hence natural evolution of all things.
@Tanyaelisabeth You're cherrypicking things. Members of any ideology and religion has committed numerous atrosities throughout history, no ideology makes humans better in itself. Christian church has never fought against slavery or unequal social structures, it was done by nonreligious movements
@RepJoeWilson What does conservatism has to do with anti-americanism? It's not anti american to have good relationship with neighbours, it's anti american to constantly poke other nations and try to destibilize them (or start a war with them) if they fail to comply with US policies.
@RepJoeWilson You love Georgia as long as it serves American empire and you'd only accept if Georgians sold themselves to US interests. This is only will that you'd recognise as Democratic, anything else would be representative of autocracy. That's why your encouragment is irrelevant.
