it’s pretty simple: this administration has constantly been proven to have lied to please one man’s image & ego - this has led to great mistrust.
now, in a legitimate national emergency, not a single person knows which reports are accurate.
this is a national security threat.
Multiple sources in the White House and on the campaign have reached out since Meadows' statement, and said they're utterly perplexed about what's going on. https://t.co/MjDQIlocrI
Wilhoit nailed it: "Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."
saving my empathy for the people who haven’t used their power to promote bad public health policy and who don’t have access to the nation’s best health care
1) read this statement.
2) soak these facts into your noggin.
3) understand why i have FAR more concern & sympathy for the venue, transportation & residence workers that were unnecessarily exposed than i have for the president.
Statement for @SenSherrodBrown includes this: "I’m extremely troubled by the reports that the President’s family and staff refused to wear masks at the debate in Cleveland, and then held a fundraiser the next day – endangering all who worked at and attended these events."
Wow. This is such an unequal recovery.
Barely a third of jobs are back for African-American men and women compared to 60% for white men and women.
Jobs recovered:
Black men: 34%
Black women: 39%
Hispanic: 55%
Asian: 59%
White men: 60%
White women: 60%

It's always insufferable when people see the true test of their kindness as extending public sympathy for the worst people who have spent their time on earth being cruel to others
it is just incredible that the democrats nominated joe fucking biden and gave over most of their convention to republicans and politics hacks are still doing these "why are both sides so mean to voters in the middle" cartoons https://t.co/SLmOSILEBg
there are two things i’ve come to understand that have made me (i believe) a better human being & american citizen.
1) empathy is cool.
2) nobody succeeds without support & assistance from others.
pretty simple, but pretty impactful.
Rick Santorum is on CNN saying Chris Wallace put Trump in a box with the question about condemning white supremacists, saying he knows the president doesn't like to "say something bad about people who support him."
Impossible to gauge the effect of the debate because it requires understanding the thought process of the narrow 2% of the electorate that could go either way, and those people are banana sandwich crazy. They could vote for whoever seems to respect horses the most.
“actually, it’s genius for a businessman who uses a gold toilet to take giant loses & avoid paying any federal taxes while working-class folks pay their fair share.
...also, i have zero self-respect & will say literally anything to justify my support of a life-long scumbag.”
look at today’s reporting that shows our “billionaire” president paying less in federal income tax than a struggling single-father, a teacher who buys her own supplies, or a working-class senior citizen...then look me in my eyes & tell me he cares about our country.
you can’t.
the shameful grand jury decision that came out of kentucky today further illustrates that we cannot rely on our government institutions to properly address issues of inequity & injustice; it’s up to us to build-up & protect each other.
