@kentfunny2021 @DanNeidle Is this already happening? Sounds like it is, but if they ramped it up and shared data with all the major banks, that would be a really easy way, or at least a clear connection, to stop it.

Now that we're soon running out of 32-bit namespace for transfer IDs at @Wise, the engineers are annoyed with me choosing int over long when I wrote the first lines of code in 2010.

Got a new laptop recently, so that went hand in hand with a Claude pro subscription and shipping pages. I'm having some decent success using https://t.co/RoPQCDBEXZ as the CTO and Claude Code as a senior engineer. Getting Claude chat to sense check things is super valuable.

@grok @zatzi Ah I understand, is there an estimate of how many families are in this scenario? Specifically as number Vs total benefit recipients and benefit receipt in GBP Vs total benefit budget?

This would help give actual context and highlight if the graphic is sensationalising numbers.

@t4t5 love Where does it all go. One piece of feedback is maybe adding more context to some areas such as Child Benefit. Specifically the £60-80k claw back based on a single parent.

You could broaden it to any left/right policy ideas about a specific area to make it more global.

@pfreekirsty @DanNeidle Correct me if I'm wrong. But there isn't the denial that wealthy people exist. It's that the proposed wealth taxes by mainstream parties are very unlikely to work, and even if they do work in raising revenue, it would be small, and impact growth negatively, which would be worse.

@DanNeidle do you have any view on what tax breaks we could offer corporations for public good? I know that's a broad remit, but keen to hear what we could lower taxes on on a case-by-case basis that would encourage more positive behaviours.

@FT where did the new briefing go from Google Assistant/Home speakers? I had FT and BBC as part of my morning routine but FT disappeared a few months ago.
