@tonymelone Almost! Albany has decided that kids who live less than a 1/2 mile from their schools still need to pay for all MTA trips. Because obviously these kids have no use for the MTA all days of the week.
@bradhoylman@Choresh2@MicahLasher@ShaunAbreu@NYCMayor@DOEChancellor Thank you! It is unfair that neighbors drive their children to farther schools and get this benefit while I do not own a car and walk my child to school and miss out on MTA rides to appointments, after school care, and weekend trips. Please keep pushing!!
@MTA Why are not all public students eligible for this? Distance to school should not matter as after care, appointments, jobs, and activities are not always close to home. Please remove the distance restriction and give the cards out equally to all students!
@JessieSingerNYC@_zjb1@Delta I’ve definitely been on planes without changing tables, even on a 5-hour flight. When I asked, one flight attendant told me I was lucky there were empty seats, because sometimes they advise sitting on the toilet and changing the baby on your lap.
There are 16 school days between now and the next 1st day of school. It's ridiculous that NYC parents and students don't know when that 1st day will be. @NYCSchools@NYCMayor@DOEChancellor
The NYPD have fraudulently closed out three 311 requests to ticket this illegal SIDEWALK parked vehicle on 4th Av Brooklyn. It’s so dangerous to pedestrians with the double driveways there. NYPD lied & closed out 311 in under 3 minutes 2 times. @StreetsblogNYC@ShahanaFromBK
@jeffnovich I was just saying this! I’ve also had several @nyctaxi drivers “apologize” for not pulling over into bike lanes because of the potential penalties.
What great city service @nyctaxi! Yesterday, I rode in a vehicle with a bull bar. While riding, I put in a @Reported_NYC@nyc311 request. Today, TLC emails to say they are calling the vehicle in for inspection. What makes TLC so much more effective than other NYC agencies?
