In December 29 2023, We (Tuticorin Flood Volunteers - Globally United), urgently sought assistance from Shri. S. Ramesh, MD of Pothys, for flood-affected families. Responding promptly, Shri. S. Ramesh assured swift action, committing to provide the necessary clothing. The volunteers specified requirements: 260 sarees and nighties for women in Ottapidaram Taluk, Thuppasipati, and dresses for 196 girl children at Punidha Joseph Karunai Illam in Tuticorin.

On December 31, 2023, the Tuticorin Flood Volunteers joyfully announced the successful distribution, reaching women, young girls, and children. This gesture of kindness brought solace and joy to a community grappling with the aftermath of floods.

Profuse gratitude was extended to Shri. S. Ramesh and the #Pothys team ( @pothysonline , @pothyspattu ) for their unwavering support. Beyond material aid, the volunteers acknowledged the emotional impact, emphasizing the gesture as a beacon of hope during challenging times. This collaboration underscored the positive impact of corporate social responsibility, transcending borders and cultural divides.

In a series of tweets, the volunteers thanked Shri. S. Ramesh for the swift response and tangible outcomes, using hashtags #TuticorinFloodRelief and #PothysSupport. Wishing a Happy New Year, they emphasized the importance of spreading kindness with hashtags #NewYear2024 and #KindnessMatters.🙏🙏🙏

We (Tuticorin Volunteers Team - Globally United) sharing our heartfelt gratitude to the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology management for their unwavering support, laying the groundwork for our meaningful initiative. Their belief in community service has been the guiding force, inspiring the entire KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology community to come together for the benefit of those affected by the floods in Tuticorin.

We would like to share our thanks to the dedicated staff and students of KPR College for their generous contribution of 2.75 lakhs, directly impacting 334 families in flood-affected Tuticorin by today (29-12-2023). This display of compassion and unity within the KPR College community showcases the power of collective efforts in making a tangible difference in people's lives.

Also we would like to share a special acknowledgement to our beloved on-field volunteer Co-ordinators , Mrs. Anantha Reshmi and Mr. Alex Karthick , whose dedication and hard work were crucial in executing the relief efforts successfully. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to the #Tuticorin #District_Police for their invaluable support and police escort, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the relief distribution.
