@tjk_4ever@beh353 I love how you worded that! The power of nutrition as it’s so important and helps empower the patients with more knowledge of how it impacts them! @beh353#beh353
Nutrition & what we eat will intertwine in all areas of health and different healthcare fields! This course and the knowledge we’ve learned throughout build a foundation to further educate ourselves and keep the nutritional aspect & impact in our minds @beh353#beh353
@EmmaDArpinoRD I loved that you noted how a credible source may not necessarily have a credible author especially in health/nutrition topics, the headline is what draws people in! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and reading ours @beh353#beh353
I thought this was a great post for this week as it addresses the biggest health problems in america today and from a great reputable source! @beh353#beh353

@brenna_chuang@beh353 this article is great! i love how it addresses the reluctancy with food in younger aged children and how challenging it can be @beh353#beh353
The article was insightful as it addresses the newest changes in children’s nutrition & refers to the USDA guidelines! It includes information for infants and toddlers, discusses how to implement the changes & provides encouragement @beh353#beh353 https://t.co/wSyjOL8ET0
I thought this was a great addition to the weight vs health debate as many who consider themselves healthy are aware of their weight and can still be metabolically healthy! Self perception gap or societal impact effect? @beh353#beh353
@mckennacaseyy @beh353 Hi McKenna! I completely agree and one of the things I was noticing in the article was how diets were related to weight and not everyone is on a diet for weight purposes but maybe health purposes! obese ≠ unhealthy @beh353#beh353
I found it bold to jump to “all diets dont work” from weight loss attempts through diet are unsuccessful. It’s important to remember the bold claims are sometimes just the catch and not the full story! Not everyone is on a diet to lose weight @beh353#beh353
@gabbyrien @beh353 i think metabolism and it’s adaptation are so interesting to learn about and is one of the reasons i became so interested in nutrition! @beh353#beh353
It wasn’t that surprising but still stuck with me, the fact that most obese people will never return to normal weight. It goes to show how no matter how hard you work at something, sometimes health is irreversible and the consequences can not be changed! @beh353#beh353
Schools are consistently trying to provide healthy foods to eliminate some of these nutrition barriers like accessibility and cost, while also making healthy eating more normal amongst younger students who eat school foods! @beh353#beh353
@gabbyrien @beh353 hi gabby, it can be really hard balancing school-work-and social lives and sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day! Sometimes when i do find the time to cook I try to make double portions so there’s always leftovers and I don’t have to cook again @beh353#beh353
one barrier i’ve been struggling with is the relative cheapness of unhealthy foods, but I have recently started ordering homechef meals again (~55-60$/wk) as the cost is much better than grocery shopping for 2 in boston (~75$/wk) @beh353#beh353
Here is a great recipe for this week! Filled with calcium, iron and potassium and also low in sodium, it is a an easy tasty meal and can be made in one pot for easy cleaning college students @beh353#beh353
@kaylaamariee675@beh353 I also found it on almost every bottle! It’s crazy to think sometimes we don’t even read everything on something we take that we think is to improve our health @beh353#beh353
This article discusses MCPHS’s favorite campus drink - Naked Juices from an RD,MS perspective and it’s really interesting how vitamins are still added into something already nutritionally rich! @beh353#beh353

This is a good addition to last weeks popular press articles, as everything we eat & every food topic can be controversial, and sometimes it’s important to focus on moderation and preparation of foods rather than cutting them out all together @beh353#beh353
