@TectonicPlateUK @LBofBromley Really keen to hear more about this story. Also really keen to hear what progress has been made in other parts of @LBofBromley where residents expressed concerns about speeding & road safety. Local elections are 5 months away. Ask candidates what their position is. Let us know.
There's a climate crisis whether we want to admit it or not - local action can be taken to reduce dependence on fossil fuels & make Beckenham a safer, healthier place to live. @FoEBromley are petitioning Bromley Council to declare a climate emergency, we think it is long overdue!
Our latest YouGov poll about side road zebra crossings found:

Do you live in Beckenham or use Beckenham High Street? @BromleyLS & @CCARA_Beckenham are running a survey to find out how residents travel, what you like and don't like about our streets and public spaces. Open until October 31st https://t.co/47Hf1HzqTm
I was walking home from the school run past the queue of traffic waiting for petrol at the station around the corner. The fumes were making me light headed. And angry. I know people are frustrated but it’s not okay to come into our communities and polute our air. (1/3)
@wfcouncil great initiative which stops this residential street to be used as rat run. We need to see the same happening here @LBofBromley. Bramerton road and many others are used as short cuts where cars go too fast.@BetterBeckenham@BromleyLS@LiveableBromley
We urgently need to give councils the powers to enforce bans on pavement parking. No government can be serious about encouraging more walking without it. It is becoming the social-norm to park on pavements - and without this it's only going to get worse #banpavementparking
There was a street party on Bramerton Road last weekend. Fantastic to see the road becoming a place where people can socialise, relax and play. There was a real sense of community. Great initiative.

Spot the difference 👀! Planters on Beckenham High Street have been removed & the car parks are back. @BromleyLS are calling for the planters to be reinstated - if you agree, write to your ward councillor & raise the issue at the @LBofBromley Environment Committee meeting (17/11)
The council @LBofBromley should take action to avoid impetuous drivers to park like this. The pavements on the High Street are already quite narrow. @BromleyLS@LiveableBromley
Delighted to announce Grappenhall Woods, a new development by @housebyus in #Warrington has been granted planning consent. Plans will allow for a new sustainable neighbourhood of 228 contemporary homes set in a green wooded landscape...

School's out! Nearly. In @LBBromley, road safety concerns are main barrier to more active travel to school (on foot/bike/scooter): according to Bromley Living Streets School Travel Survey (5500 responses from 89 schools) https://t.co/mfhYmrGWLZ - what do you think? #schoolstreets
