This astonishing, haunting story by @RaquelRutledge & @bykenarmstrong won a National Magazine Award tonight for Feature Writing. Please take the time to read it if you haven't already:

@thephysicsgirl Have you been able to get someone on the phone? I called baggage services for 3 weeks with no luck until I called very early, around 4am. Finally got a human being who told me where my bag was last scanned so I could go to the airport and get it. But yes, @AirCanada is terrible.
PR disaster for @AirCanada over there @AClostmyluggage. Account active for a few weeks, now almost 1400 followers and hundreds of cases chronicling the terrible customer service and ghosting #AirCanada
Mind-boggling. "This slice of the vast universe covers a patch of sky approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length by someone on the ground." #JamesWebbSpaceTelescope
It's here–the deepest, sharpest infrared view of the universe to date: Webb's First Deep Field.
Previewed by @POTUS on July 11, it shows galaxies once invisible to us. The full set of @NASAWebb's first full-color images & data will be revealed July 12: https://t.co/63zxpNDi4I
@AirCanada@IvySchw96840318 This isn’t true. Worldtracer didn’t tell me my bag had arrived. I had to call for 3 weeks before finally getting through to someone on the phone for them to tell me my bag was sitting at the airport.
It's now been 2.5 weeks that I'm waiting for @AirCanada to give me an update on my delayed (let's be real, lost) bag. Zero information whatsoever. I don't like complaining about customer service but...Air Canada certainly lives up to its reputation as a bad airline.
@AlanMoote @dankojones@AirCanada My bag's been missing since June 16 with zero information. I got this same cookie cutter message from @AirCanada and then they ghosted me. My guess is you haven't heard anything yet either.
@ericbahn Glad your son loves reading, hope mine do too! Cautionary tale: my parents did the same aka each minute I read was one minute of video game playing time. At first, no issues. But in the end I started only reading out of obligation. It took years to unlearn and to love reading.
An independent review of the positive and negative impacts of #UNSC counterterrorism efforts is long overdue. Read more from @RosandEric and Alistair Millar: #CTat20

In November, the @nytimes published an article about efforts in Asia to fight back COVID. They mentioned specifically 3 countries (Hong Kong, Korea and Japan) and outlined long histories of policy implementation by health officials in these nations trying to combat infections
In my newest article @ipinstGO I write about Victoria Esperanza Salazar's recent murder
Her killing brings to the fore the violence experienced by women, undocumented migrants, and the economically disenfranchised in Mexico, many times at the hands of security forces
