@Saatva Quite possibly one of the worst delivery experiences I have ever had. They outsource their delivery to a 3rd party that doesn't give them any insight into where the mattress is or when it will be delivered. Their hipster blase CS reps don't help. No one has a clue!
@atheorist This is arms race for unique narratives is also a reaction to equity based admissions policies and grouping of applicants in demographic buckets.
@garrytan The board openly says @PaloAltoUnified doesn't stand for academic excellence. @VoteDharap said:
“If folks want higher ceilings at the expense of the floors, then maybe there are private schools out there that could do that. That’s not us. We’re a public school district."

@garrytan@chamath Palo Alto teachers are refusing to write letters of recommendations for competitive summer programs in the interest of fairness. This is an actual note written by a Gunn science teacher.
@Hebro_Steele There is also a real fear of speaking out. When the same district controls your child’s grades, recommendations, and academic opportunities, parents worry that voicing concerns could backfire on their kids. So silence is not always agreement. It is often self-protection.
@anothercohen Yes. I would do it until kids are school-aged. It's good for the grandparents, kids and good for the parents. It may be not optimal for a tech career, but these are hard years to lean-in regardless. Once kids in school, they start activities/sports and it's hard in diff ways.
@jakeshieldsajj This article belongs in TMZ. EEven if he went to sex parties, did drugs, slept with a married woman, he didn’t deserve to be killed. WSJ staying their morals as “facts” is just terrible reporting. If you were a close friend, please send a letter to the editor.
@auren@niravtolia@naval The real story is how Nirav screwed his co-founders at Epinions, repeatedly lied about getting into Stanford, lied to everyone about working at McKinsey and was charged with a felony hit-and-run and still is considered an insider? Explain this.
@PetalumaPegleg @Michele73395146 @elonmusk@TedrickG@sfdbi@KQEDnews@LondonBreed I believe that many people, including myself, are very ok working insane hours for a mission. Agreed that if you don’t like that level of intensity or don’t believe in the mission, it would suck to work around the clock.
@RAHarrisonPA@NowRx 1 hour hold time to get through to Alto today and they can’t find 1/2 my scripts. Ugh! I hope this acquisition didn’t burn investors the way it burned paying customers!
@elonmusk@TedrickG@sfdbi@KQEDnews@LondonBreed I went to the SF passport office today and had to literally step over people injecting themselves to get to the building. Cops were just standing around watching. @LondonBreed fix basic issues then focus on driving tax-paying, job-generating companies to other cities.
