I began my medical career at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis, and I've spent my life ever since working to research, treat, and combat infectious diseases.
I'm honored to be called to lead the brilliant team at the CDC. We are ready to combat this virus with science and facts.
I don't enjoy unearthing the worst moment of my life. But I continue to do so because we continue to question families' fundamental right to choose.

Recently, @BrighamWomens had a COVID-19 outbreak among 20+ patients & staff. We rapidly traced and tested all contacts and advised quarantine. We deployed PCR testing in <24 hours for ~9,000 staff. We ID’d 52 total cases associated w the cluster and are containing the outbreak.
