it's actually even sexier... it's more b2b and recurring than just the end user hiring a consultant one project at a time. it's basically fire depts and municipalities outsourcing their fire code compliance work to this little company to make sure all the new projects in the towns they work in are compliant and inspected and all that. such a cool niche little biz in idaho.
Taxes should not be increased on Gen Z and Millennial Americans to fund Social Security for Baby Boomers.
Social Security Benefits should not be cut for Baby Boomers.
The federal government should spend less money and frivolous welfare programs should be heavily cut.
I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.
today we're releasing apex-flash-1, our first open-weights model for security research post-trained on real vulnerabilities we found and got paid for.
we are also releasing the abliterated variant for researchers who want fewer refusals in their own authorized workflows.

Starting next year, physical AI and robotics will quietly step into daily life.
Over the past year, tech companies tested every way to collect real-world training data. Workers wore body cameras in factories. Others captured daily motion through AR glasses.
That data is now ready for model training.
This does not just mean bipedal humanoids like Optimus or Unitree.
Cheap, single-purpose machines will arrive first.
Dexterous robotic hands drive up manufacturing costs, and training models for generic tasks still lacks data.
Specialized hardware solves immediate problems today.
You can already see working proof across tech demos.
Heavy-duty robots already clean the outer walls of nuclear power plants.
Next will be simple domestic appliances, like a machine where you toss dirty clothes into a basket and it washes, dries, and folds them on its own.
Next year marks the point where everyday productivity jumps with physical AI.
- PewDiePie trying to distill GPT-Sol
- OpenAI ban his account
- OpenAI trained on the open web.
- PewDiePie tried to trained from the model’s answers.
- Same idea, opposite consequences.
- PewDiePie says OpenAI banned him twice while he was building a local model.
- PewDiePie’s latest project is a reminder of who actually owns the pipeline.
- They spent years absorbing public data.
- He spent weeks trying to improve a small local model.
- If distillation is theft, what do we call the original training run?
- “why do we pay for the model?
This is smart and I hadn’t thought about it this way.
