Aavin officials have the audacity to lie through their teeth.

Even today, the supply of green magic has been substantially reduced.

Without providing any details on the quantity of milk being supplied, Aavin officials issue statements denying any shortage.

Lies spread through press releases will not change the reality on the ground.

These are the very officials whose actions have contributed to the defeat of the DMK.

It appears that Aavin officials have taken the TVK government for granted.

Big clean up drive in Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s #MAWS dept and @chennaicorp: Overall 100 officials transferred enmasse.

The CM has given a free hand for officials to transfer and take action if they find credibility and track record of officials questionable. No need to wait for his concurrence.

Previously, files to transfer officials have to be sent to ministers and even CM making decision difficult for officials.

Key reasons for recent transfers include:

1) To break nexus of long service officials and local councillors, politicians

2)To break postings done through favouritism

3)To put new officials so the old scheme of things isn’t followed esp in town planning

4)Many AEs are local residents and go home between work hours

5) Ensure localised irregularities don’t sprout up

Some town planners in few districts have served even for 30 years in same dept.
