@HSB_Lab This is gratifying to hear. As a grad student I really wrestled with whether to publish this paper... it seemed too qualitative (for a younger, more naive version of me) to be useful. Ten years more experience has taught me how very silly that view was.
To honor Chuck Snowdon’s legacy, a fundraising campaign has been launched to expand Los Tities de San Juan to nearly double its size, making Los Tities & Los Colorados the largest expanse of protected forest habitat for cotton-top tamarins in northern Colombia 1/2
Chuck’s fascination with cotton-tops was infectious, and the tamarins in his lab launched the careers of dozens of primatologists (including mine!). Helping ensure a future for wild tamarins is a fitting way to honor his legacy. Please share widely and consider donating!
Dr. Charles Snowdon @UWMadison, a giant in the field of primatology, passed away recently. Some of Chuck's mentees recently started a campaign to honor his contributions to our field (a 🧵): https://t.co/Tlu8sT4dri
PT is specifically using this campaign to help raise money to buy additional land for a protected reserve adjacent to Santuario de Fauna y Flora Los Colorado National Park. Together, the park and the reserve will create Columbia's largest tract of protected forests for tamarins.
📢 We are seeking a research assistant (small stipend provided) for collecting behavioral data on sanctuary-housed chimpanzees in Uganda.

🚨Do early-life contributions contribute to inequality? @anup_malani@ArchieLab@stacylrosenbaum link verbal and visual models to formal mathematical treatment for understanding the developmental origins of inequitable adult outcomes 10.1098/rstb.2022.0306🧵(4/n)
🚨NEW SPECIAL ISSUE @RSocPublishing attempts to tackle the complex topic of social #inequality. The papers link the extraordinary range of variation in inequality across human and non-human mammalian societies to ecology. Let's discuss this! 🧵(1/n) https://t.co/EJLWZKOkxk
