@Jacquel00382544@Osint613 The beef rejected by China was a single 22-ton shipment back in March, which would no longer be fresh at this point. People keep parroting this comment without doing a modicum of research.
@RepJamesClyburn This is blatantly false. In Minnesota, we give drivers licenses to non-citzens, we even have a voucher program that someone can just say that you are a citizen with zero verification (same day) https://t.co/awb4TFhA80
@MattBinder General Meade arguably turned the tide at Gettysburg but gets very little credit due to failing to pursue Lee after the defeat. Grant gets extra credit for closing out the war, and was Meade's tactician in the following battles. Gettysburg was no small feat.
@JosephPolitano Why would Walmart eat corporate taxes but not tariffs? The left believing in high corporate taxes but not tariffs is evidence of flawed logic.
@GregMoo73564054 @sirDukeDevin Agree with you Greg. Lower margins will be something some companies have to accept. I feel bad for small and medium producers impacted, but large companies have had excessively strong margins for awhile on the backs of large layoffs and higher consumer prices.
@ClaudetteGGibs1 You can still get immigrants for this work through legal means. It's called an H-2A visa. Illegal immigration allows for sub-standard wages, lack of federal protections, and tax avoidance.
@DOGE Why are separate departments negotiating independently instead of under a single contract? Most software is tiered pricing, less licenses means higher costs. 15 departments and over 2,000 agencies all paying lowest tier? @DOGE
@LeveragedFun@TaylorNYC@EndWokeness The goods from MX have a tariff of 25% added to it. If the consumer chooses to buy it, they pay the extra 25%, the U.S. Government gets the difference. It's basically a sales tax. Usually what happens if consumer chooses the next best thing for less money, i.e. American goods.
@SikorskyDC@DefiyantlyFree This is blatantly conjecture. Provide sources if you are going to make this accusation. We have great women in the military I serve with, many out qualify their male counterparts.
@RonFilipkowski The US already had tariffs on China from Trump's first administration that were never rescinded. These are incremental. Hence a component of the reason it seems unfair to CAN/MEX.
@darbysaxbe Perhaps we can understand why NIH funded gain of function testing on bat Corona virus to the Wuhan Lab? The CIA now supports COVID leaked from such lab.
@SenSanders We would be better off with a two system solution. County/state hospitals paid for by Medicaid/Medicare, and private hospitals available to those willing to pay or with insurance. Create options, not forced solutions.
@SenSanders Healthcare would fall below free food. You die faster without food than without healthcare. Should the government pay for everyone's food too? It's a slippery slope.
