Governor cannot behave like a BJP office bearer.

TVK is the single largest party in Tamil Nadu and the only alliance claiming majority support.

Tamil Nadu records highest ever poll participation since Independence during 2026 elections (84.69%). Previous highest was during 2011 elections (78.29%).

Increase in percentage is because of two factors:
SIR and TVK (Vijay).

In 2011, these were the results:

AIADMK - 165 (Contested), 150 (Won)
DMK - 123 (Contested), Won (23)
DMDK (Vijayakanth) - 41 (Contested), 29 (Won)
INC - 63 (Contested), Won (5)

AIADMK had a sweeping majority, DMK was pushed to 3rd position and Vijayakanth party was the main opposition.
