The @ajc is expanding its video content, so here’s close to 100 seconds with everything to know from today about Tua Tagovailoa, Michael Penix Jr., Jack Strand & Cooper Rush.
I would sooner walk barefoot on the sun than watch 19 minutes of Skip Bayless doing anything really, but particularly trying to sell me on Shedeur to the Falcons.
For a very long time, I’ve avoided the “For You” tab on here and only looked at the “Following” tab.
But lately this hellsite actually seems to be doing a very solid job of assembling good tweets from accounts I follow in the For You tab. Huh.
The “undo historic wrongs and bring communities together” sounds like pure Woke 1 craziness
You’re not solving racism by tearing down a highway. All you’d be doing is sending trucks onto local city streets and make life more dangerous for bicyclists and pedestrians.
@DannyInTransit ….and yet you people still have ZERO solution for the spillover to city streets. Funny how you also come after people when they mention to build out the actual solution first before tearing it down too
@BrooklynBus So yes agreed at times they were quite dangerous (the times when I and many others needed to use them) and now they are less dangerous. Which was my original point. Pick your poison.
@BrooklynBus Both directions were merges onto oncoming traffic. I witnessed many near-accidents and cars honking at each others over the years in both directions.
@BrooklynBus There was a research paper released before they went from 3 lanes to 2 that said as much. If you’ve ever used those BQE entrances, you know how dangerous they were.
@BrooklynBus Removing those lanes also saved us from probably hundreds of injuries or deaths that used to occur from the Atlantic Avenue/Columbia death-trap merges. Pick your poison.
@bhargreaves Or
3) don’t be 5 years old for clicks and acknowledge the necessity of this particular highway in moving hundreds of thousands of vehicles every day in a city of nearly 9 million people
@ShabazzStuart@supremeMilo Pretty sure the burying idea was studied a lot and that you’d have to go down so deep to avoid subways etc that it’d be a nightmare for trucks trying to rise back up from the bottom.
@ShabazzStuart I think the tough part practically here is it’s not possible to delete the BQE without some sort of either shortcut tunnel replacement between the two ends or an urban boulevard substitution like the West Side Highway.
