The Labour governmentβs Planning and Infrastructure Bill: A land grab.
This includes compulsory purchase by public bodies & governments (local & national) to buy land (which includes the green belt, farmland and also allotments) at low agricultural value rather than full hope value. After purchase they can sell land to a housing developer or solar panel company at full development value. The Bill also gives compulsory purchase rights to acquire land for nature.
This is not a level playing field for farmers and food growers. They will be forced to sell at low value, but the purchaser (often a local council) will be able to sell at full value. This is fundamentally wrong on so many levels.
Chopping down 2.5 acres of trees in the National Forest, to make way for 50 Battery Storage containers! π‘

It's taken too long, but public support for green grift is finally coming to an end. People are finally working out that if renewables are so cheap then bills should be falling, not rising as we get more wind and solar.
Itβs absolutely mind blowing that some people consider plastering fields with metal and glass machines (which destroy countryside, farmland and wildlife and often end up in landfills after 20 years) a form of environmentalism.
Council expert failed to acknowledge the repeated land movement in the area! Planning ctee went against approval recommendation because the site is not safe!
