ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಂದ ಕರಾವಳಿಗೆ ಓಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೈಲುಗಳು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಓಡಬೇಕು. ಅದನ್ನ ನಗರದಿಂದ divert ಮಾಡುವ ಯೋಚನೆ ಬೇಡ.

If a premium Bengaluru–Madgaon Vande Bharat is being planned, why should Mangaluru’s principal railway terminal be bypassed?

Route it via MAQ. Let Mangaluru be served, not bypassed.

Atleast during upcoming Dasara and Depeavali provide a special train to Mangaluru @AshwiniVaishnaw @VSOMANNA_BJP @SWRRLY @RailwaySeva @CaptBrijesh where there is a high demand on Bengluru mangaluru route. Atleast the train should enter Mangaluru junction

Despite a written request by MP @CaptBrijesh to MoS Railways @VSOMANNA_BJP on July 18, Mangaluru was denied a Ganesh Chaturthi special train, while Bengaluru–Madgaon received one.
Thousands travel between Bengaluru & Mangaluru during festivals. Mangaluru deserves a dedicated special train, not to be bypassed.
Kindly intervene and address this genuine passenger demand.

@JohnBrittas PGT should've provided more good facility to Mlore region instead of step motherly treatment. You can devlop Kerala and generate the revenue from kerala itself.We had to beg infront pf pgt for each and every facility when u take a huge revenue .Now no use in opposing

ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಂತೆ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು (ಪಡೀಲಿನಿ��ದ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲದವರೆಗೆ) ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ ಪಾಲಕ್ಕಾಡ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಿಂದ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ1 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2026ರಂದು ವಿಲೀನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಈ ದಶಕಗಳ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆದ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವನಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಸಂಸದರಾದ ಕ್ಯಾ. ಬ್ರಿಜೇಶ್ ಚೌಟ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂದು ಫಲ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. 🙏

🚆❤️ A New Direction for Mangaluru’s Railway Network!

A decades-old demand has finally been fulfilled!

As per the decision of the Railway Board, the Mangaluru railway area (from Padil to Ullal) is being transferred from the Palakkad Division of Southern Railway to the Mysuru Division of South Western Railway, with the change coming into effect from 1 October 2026.

The efforts of our Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Capt. Brijesh Chowta, who took up this long-pending demand as a priority, pursued it relentlessly, and raised it across various forums, have finally borne fruit today. 🙏

This marks a new chapter in the development of Mangaluru’s railways! 🚆

Mangaluru’s railways are finally coming under one roof!

A long-pending demand is being fulfilled as the Mangaluru railway region, currently divided across Southern & South Western Railways, is being brought under South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division.

This gives me a great sense of contentment, especially because this is a demand we raised as a priority within days of taking oath as your MP in June 2024.

Since then, we have pursued it relentlessly - taking it up repeatedly with our Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw, whose proactive engagement and responsiveness in taking forward this long-pending demand I deeply appreciate. We have also used every available parliamentary and institutional forum to highlight the concern and press for its expeditious resolution.

This is a significant step for Mangaluru - reducing jurisdictional hurdles, improving coordination, enabling faster resolution of passenger concerns and giving greater focus to railway infrastructure and connectivity across coastal Karnataka.

With the formal notification expected soon, we will be better placed to address many of our railway-related concerns and, most importantly, enable Mangaluru’s railways to move faster on the tracks of Vikas.

Grateful to our Government led by PM Shri @narendramodi, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Shri @VSOMANNA_BJP for making this possible.

Karnataka: A special food safety inspection drive on August 20 covered 36 railway stations & 112 food establishments across the state.

Vande Bharat trains on Mangaluru-Kerala & Hubballi-Bengaluru routes were found clean.

Violations included suspected unauthorised colours in jalebi & khoa peda, expired Nandini curd & Dodla milk in Haveri, unhygienic conditions at KR Pura, idlis prepared using plastic material, expired food, fungal growth on vegetables & chutney stored in unsuitable plastic buckets.

Bravo ! Quick action and coordination between the Assam Forest Department and Railways helped save precious elephant lives from a potential collision with a Rajdhani Express on the railway tracks in Nagaon today. Forest staff alerted the Railways, and the loco-pilot, working with the Railway Control Room, halted the Rajdhani Express, allowing the large herd to cross safely.

The name plates of Train No. 16511/12 KSR Bengaluru–Kozhikode Express are currently displaying “Yesvantpur–Kozhikode Express” instead of “KSR Bengaluru–Kozhikode Express.”

Recently, due to works at KSR Bengaluru, the train was temporarily shifted to SMVT Bengaluru. After restoration of KSR Bengaluru operations, the train has returned, but the name plate still mentions Yesvantpur, creating confusion and concern among passengers.

❓ Is South Western Railway planning to permanently shift the terminal of this train to Yesvantpur Junction?

If so, we strongly oppose this move.

Tr No. 16511/12 is a lifeline for passengers of Dakshina Kannada and the coastal region. Passengers have already faced difficulties due to previous operational changes and the temporary shift to SMVT Bengaluru.

KSR Bengaluru is far more convenient for passengers, being centrally located with excellent Metro, BMTC and connecting railway services and is easily accessible from different parts of Bengaluru. Shifting the train to Yesvantpur would create additional inconvenience and travel burden for regular passengers.

We request @SWRRLY,@drmsbc sir to kindly clarify the matter immediately and replace the existing name plate with “KSR Bengaluru–Kozhikode Express.”

🚆 KSR Bengaluru must continue as the terminal of Train No. 16511/12. This is not acceptable to passengers of Dakshina Kannada and the coastal region.

@GMSRailway @SWRRLY @RailwaySeva the train number 16511/12 which is running between Kozhikode- KSR Bengaluru but the board on the train shows it as running between Yeshwanthpur-Kozhikode which is confusing thousands of passengers.
Please take action and rectify this.
