It's been an end of an era for me. Leaving Bangalore, leaving IISc and moreover leaving CSB lab is indeed a bitter-sweet moment. I made tons of colleagues turned friends whom I will cherish forever. I may have lost @mkjolly15 as my PI but I gained a lifelong mentor and a friend
Such a bitter-sweet moment at @sushimndl farewell. She has been the backbone for most bioinformatics work in the team for 2.5 years, led many collaborations with dev/cancer bio groups, a wonderful team member😀All the best with your endeavours; continue to make us proud, Susmita!
We celebrate the end of our three-day 🚀hackathon🚀 on spatial omics tools and methods in #Ghent#Belgium. A big thanks to all of the researchers across Europe. Check out our final slide deck and code! https://t.co/5y6NrvJGWi https://t.co/ns63bTDns7 #SpatialOmics24
Congrats to @Steffen_E_Fuchs and the team on their work on how MYCN suppresses circular RNAs in neuroblastoma out today @NatureComms 👏🏻👏🏻 https://t.co/gCXlXEp6PT
Curious about the 3D genome’s relationship with gene expression? With @ychen48184593 and team at @xingdong816‘s lab, we’ve developed a method to simultaneously capture 3D genome and RNA in single cells. Find our study in the latest @ScienceMagazine! https://t.co/rUmejPRNfn (1/8)
webR v0.1.0 has just been released! I'm super excited to see what people create by using webR in their own projects 😃. The docs are at https://t.co/VhzF2Co3t4 and I've written an introductory blog post talking more about the kind of things webR can do at https://t.co/56ficIti3l.
People think Machine learning can solve all the biology problems.
In reality, see the MEME.
That said, ML is very powerful when used correctly.

We feel it important to tweet this graphics & post from Adam Morris' LinkedIn as it helps people to identify toxic working environments and behaviour. With @ReMO_COST we are working on improving working culture in #academia & #AcademicMentalHealth.

Happy to have contributed, together with @sushimndl @BSSE_IISc, in this clinical study led by @UjjainiDasgupt2@Bajaj_RCB to identify sphingolipid signature to distinguish between luminal vs. triple negative breast cancer in Indian cohort, published in @IntJCanc. @wileyinresearch
Our single-cell NSCLC atlas is now published: https://t.co/FgRANmYT9Z
We collected 1.3M cells from 29 datasets (including our own) and put a particular emphasis on Neutrophils which are hard to profile on some platforms. (1/4)
My dear Biologist colleague, solely stating that “Statistical analysis were done in R” is NOT a sufficient description of the bioinformatics Methods of your paper, as just saying “experiments were performed in a lab” would not be of the experimental Material and Methods
#NobelPrize2022 winners @CarolynBertozzi and #SvantePaabo are openly #LGBTQ scientists. Both exemplify that being openly queer and achieving career success is possible.
They offer yet another proof that queer people can not only contribute positively to society but also excel
Happy to share our preprint led by @srinath_m1@Manasehgal@ramu_soundharya@sushimndl on correlation of PD-L1 activity with partial EMT & glycolysis across carcinomas. Also, PD-L1 & glycolysis levels together drive worse patient outcomes than PD-L1 alone. https://t.co/oX3Jic40MI
