They're required to give you a complaint reference number - it's part of their complaints process under Ofgem rules. If they keep dodging it, email [email protected] and keep screenshots of everything - the chats, this tweet, all of it.
Also if it's been 8 weeks since you first raised it you don't even need to wait for them. You can go straight to the Energy Ombudsman and they'll deal with it for free.
The ยฃ150 pa saving is not really a genuine saving anyway, as a lot of that cost is just being shifted into general taxation so people still end up paying for it one way or another. On top of that, expected rises in standing charges over the coming months, combined with forecast wholesale price increases in Q3, could easily wipe out any benefit again.
@IC30pips@UKLabour@Keir_Starmer Part of your energy bill actually goes towards covering other people's unpaid energy debt - it's called the bad debt charge. So the ones who pay see their bills rise to cover those who don't. Always the good citizen who's treated like shit.

the marginal pricing in the system in the UK means you're constantly funding renewables but will never see saving because elec prices are tied to gas prices (even if wind is cheap and generates a lot of electricity if even a littel bit of gas is used to balance the system the wind farms get paid the same price as gas, inflating wholesale prices and in turn, your bill)
