More than 96% of Muslim majority countries observe Milad un Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). 55 of the 57 OIC member states recognise it as an official holiday yet this tiny minority still claims that only a handful of Muslims celebrate the birth of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).

That alone should tell you how disconnected they are from the traditional Muslim understanding of Mawlid and how much unnecessary division their rejection has created.
