@rachel_faden I was thinking about the hierarchies of schools and it’s weird to think when we’re just out of HS we are on top because the schools want us and our money. But once we commit to a school we become the bottom of the scale again because we owe the school our money. #ewp22

Watching Yellowstone tonight & a character said “behind every milestone in history is a monster”. Made me think of the idea that the outlier of accepted societal morals tends to be the one who insights change seeing as they think for themselves rather than what the norm is.#ewp22

I think I follow an acute form of Consequentialism, I tend to view outcomes before or during my moral actions. But I feel like this also ties into the Hedonic Calculus too. Both in which help determine if what I’m doing is the best thing for my moral reputation. #ewp22

A world where humans choose to follow their impulses, as brought up with the Categorical Imperative, is literally what Nietzsche aimed for with the Übermensch. No morals and no obligations! #ewp22

What if all humans started choosing what their impulses urge them to do? Like dogs, what if we started hitting people, no matter their status, out of anger or eating Orbeez because we are curious as to what they taste like. I feel like that would be such a crazy world. #ewp22

In response to,why don’t we apply morals to objects?, I feel like that would be so weird.Thinking a table is evil or holds some moral obligation to me because I hit my toe on it seems so foreign to what I’ve known. A table has no knowledge of what it did compared to humans #ewp22

Nozick's Machine made me realize how much I currently,and should continue to,value my authentic and genuine experiences. The feeling of doing something myself, or discovering something for the first time through my own eyes, works to override the machine's generic feeling. #ewp22
