@WRMathsSec Seven.
Or Roman numerals III, VII, IX etc.
Or any odd number where the letter you take away is x.
Or Eleven, but you take away the sound of the letter L.
@AccomplishEdu@easternmaths@rosemkeating @RuthTrundley @danicquinn@LearningMaths@AlisonHopperMEI @alisonkiddle I've always found design and technology classrooms and staff to be quite accomodating. They often have vinyl cutters, laser cutters ect. available to use.
I once had 30 circle templates in pvc cut for pie charts after a particularly frustrating lesson.
@alcmaths I love this! Going to use it with the older ones who get stuck expanding and factorising single brackets as well as when using the AC method to factorise quadratics.
@MichaelOllerton I like this.
I have seen so many children freeze up at first sight of a complex equation.
This could help them recognise that each equation is made up of simple terms and operations, building confidence and understanding.
@EnserMark@MichaelOllerton Raises an interesting concept in Twitter ettiquete. Should a tweet I regret be deleted and my Twitter history reflect a 'photoshopped' version of me or should I present myself warts and all?
@gregzee @bromhome @Iain643@MrKennethClarke @markyclark1 If scotland was to become independent, would it still be classed as British due to its geographical location in the British Isles? Much as Mexico is on the continent of North America?
Or do I not fully understand the definition of British?
