I respectfully renew my request that the appropriate authorities independently examine three serious concerns involving Mr. Habtamu Gurmu Chala, reportedly residing in Alabama.

1. Child Safety and Female Genital Mutilation: I remain deeply concerned about Mr. Chala's reported recent travel to Ethiopia, particularly in light of statements allegedly made during X Spaces discussions appearing to celebrate female genital mutilation and the castration of boys. I urge child protection authorities to review the relevant recordings and determine whether any credible safeguarding risk exists.

2. Continued Online Harassment: I remain concerned about his repeated public statements allegedly demeaning, insulting, and harassing individuals and members of diaspora communities. I request an independent examination of the documented conduct.

3. Recorded Statements Concerning Alleged Bank Theft: The most significant evidence I am submitting is an audio recording in which Mr. Chala appears to acknowledge robbing Wegagen Bank and refers to approximately fifteen million, without specifying the currency. The individual who recorded the conversation, Mr. Triangle Man, has reportedly confirmed the exchange publicly. These statements warrant independent verification and examination.

Supporting documentation: I am attaching the original audio recording, its Amharic and English transcription, screenshots of relevant public statements, a photograph reportedly taken at the Federal Police office in Addis Ababa, and a copy of Mr. Chala's public statement dated October 15, 2026, for the documentary record. The photograph is provided as context, not proof of wrongdoing.

I respectfully request that the relevant authorities examine these materials, assess any credible safeguarding concerns, and determine whether further investigation is warranted. The protection of children and vulnerable individuals must remain paramount.

ETHIOPIA SEEKS A PRETEXT FOR A WAR IT HAD DECLARED LONG AGO

Over the past three years, Ethiopia’s PM has repeatedly vowed to secure “#sovereign #access” to the #Red #Sea through negotiations if possible and by force if necessary. He questioned Eritrea’s very independence and sovereignty. In doing so, he used state institutions, including , but not limited to, Parliament, state media, and official meetings; not to mention his paid digital media mercenaries. His generals have repeatedly boasted that their war would erase the boundary, leaving neither a sovereign #Eritrea nor its government.

These are not isolated remarks. They reveal a dangerous pattern of threats against a sovereign state, undermining the #UN #Charter, #international #law, and treaties that govern #territorial #integrity.

Abiy’s regime evidently keeps shifting its false accusations: one moment alleging that Eritrea crossed the border, the next claiming that Eritrea arms and supports the Alliance Forces for Survival (AFS). Yet these allegations failed to provide a shred of evidence and remain unconfirmed by independently verified bodies. Such wild accusations cannot substitute for proof and should never be allowed to serve as a pretext for a dangerous and premeditated plan of aggression.

To cover up its wild plans, this PP government is struggling to manufacture “evidence” for a #war its leaders have already threatened publicly. The world must not mistake the pretext for the aggressor’s false accusations for evidence and call this aggressor by its name.

Yet that is the impression Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sought to create following his October 14 telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
… The real significance of the October 14 Rubio–Abiy conversation lies not in whether the exchange was cordial or whether Washington intends to continue working with Ethiopia. Neither would be surprising. What matters is the striking gap between the impression Abiy sought to create afterward and the principles Washington reportedly chose to emphasize.

In recent days Ethiopia has accused Eritrea, before the UN Security Council, of military aggression. Eritrea denies entering Ethiopian territory, calling the accusation a pretext for war. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed insists Ethiopia must have sovereign coastline on Red Sea by any means necessary.
… The crisis did not begin this week. In October 2023, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed described access to the Red Sea as an existential issue for Ethiopia, and relations with Eritrea have deteriorated since. Over the next two years, the demand returned in speeches, interviews, and addresses to parliament.

@Abyssinia_Rise Excellent analysis. Commercial port access was never an issue for Eritrea. I suspect, during the 2018 euphoric moment of rapprochement, the Ethiopian PM may have solicited land or services bartering with Assab that killed any potential engagement. Add to it the UAE angle.
