A vibrant Skill Exhibition was organized at 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑽𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏, 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒌𝒘𝒂𝒍.
𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘇𝗶𝘇, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗘𝗩𝗧𝗔 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗯 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗺, 𝗖𝗘𝗢 Diya Pakistan inaugurated the exhibition.

The pending degree attestation issue relates to students of PIMSAT, South Asia University, Newport, and Al-Khair Universities, which affects approximately 54,000 students.

As per the National Assembly Standing Committee on Federal Education & Professional Training (Letter Ref: F.4(1)/2023-Com-II, dated 9th August 2023), HEC was directed to resolve this long-standing matter by:

1. Collecting complete student data from the universities.
2. Holding special sessions to finalize degree attestation.
3. Ensuring that innocent students are not penalized due to disputes between HEC and universities.

Unfortunately, universities claim all student data has been submitted, while HEC claims data is incomplete, resulting in over a decade of career loss, missed job opportunities, and mental stress for 54,000 students.

The National Assembly has clearly instructed HEC to resolve this issue on priority, as per Article 10-A of the Constitution, students cannot be punished for institutional disputes.

Under Article 25-A of the Constitution of Pakistan, it is the state’s responsibility to ensure equal access to quality education and safeguard the future of every citizen. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC, has violated this mandate by jeopardizing the future of over 54,000 students through negligence, personal biases, and discriminatory policies, particularly by halting degree attestations of students from Al-Khair University, South Asia USA, and Newportc Institute.

Such actions are a violation of Articles 25-A, 4, and 18 of the Constitution and have inflicted irreparable harm on students and their families. Now, with only 6 days left in his extended tenure, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed isx lobbying for an unlawful extension by convening 271 Vice Chancellors on the 24th and 25th, using national education forums for personal gains—an act that is unacceptable and condemnable.
Demands:
ss
1. Immediate removal of Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed and appointment of a transparent, student-focused HEC Chairman.

2. Immediate attestation of degrees from Al-Khair University, South Asia USA, and Newport Institute to safeguard students’ careers.

3. A Supreme Court or Judicial Commission inquiry into 10 years of discriminatory HEC policies.

4. Reforms to ensure no individual can hold HEC hostage for personal ambitions.

We call upon @PakPMO, @PresOfPakistan, @CMShehbaz, @EduMinistryPK, @WajihaQamar, @hecpkofficial to take urgent action to restore justice. We also urge @HRCP87, @AmnestySouthAsia, @UNHumanRights, @ARYNEWSOFFICIAL, @BBCUrdu, @geonews_urdu, @dawn_com and other local and international organizations to raise their voices against this injustice.

"ڈگری نہ ہونے کا غم، والدین کا لختِ جگر ہم سے جدا ہوگیا!"

لاہور – آج ہم دل گرفتہ ہیں، نہ صرف ایک اور جوان کی المناک موت پر، بلکہ ریاستی اداروں کی مسلسل بے حسی پر، جو ہمارے نوجوانوں کا مستقبل تاریک بنا رہے ہیں۔
علی، جو پمسٹ یونیورسٹی لاہور کیمپس کا ایم بی اے کا طالبعلم تھا، دل کا دورہ پڑنے کی وجہ سے اس دنیا سے رخصت ہوگیا۔ یہ وہی نوجوان تھا جس کے والدین نے بڑی امیدوں سے اسے اعلیٰ تعلیم دلوانے کے لیے اپنے خواب، اپنا پیٹ، اپنے بڑھاپے کا سہارا سب اس کی ڈگری سے وابستہ کر دیا تھا۔ مگر افسوس، جس ڈگری کے لیے اس نے دن رات محنت کی، وہی ڈگری ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن (HEC) کی غیر ذمہ داری اور عدم توجہی کی نظر ہو گئی۔
اس سانحے سے پہلے، ایک اور طالبعلم نے ڈگری کی نااہلی اور بے بسی کے عالم میں خودکشی کی، اور اب علی جیسا نوجوان اس نظام کی بےحسی کا شکار ہو کر اپنے خالقِ حقیقی سے جا ملا۔ کیا ہمارے حکمرانوں کو احساس ہے کہ ان کی لاپروائی، تاخیری حربے، اور سیاسی مصلحتوں کی قیمت ہمارے نوجوان اپنی جان دے کر چکا رہے ہیں؟
پمسٹ، ساوتھ ایشیا، نیوپورٹ، اور الخیر جیسے اداروں کے ہزاروں طلباء گزشتہ کئی سالوں سے ڈگریوں کی تصدیق نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے شدید ذہنی اذیت، مالی مسائل، اور سماجی دباؤ کا شکار ہیں۔ HEC، وزارتِ تعلیم، اور حکومت وقت نے عدالتی احکامات، قومی اسمبلی، سینیٹ اور وفاقی محتسب کی ہدایات کے باوجود آج تک ان طلباء کی داد رسی نہیں کی۔

ہم پوچھتے ہیں:

کب تک ہمارے نوجوان اس بےحسی کے نظام کی بھینٹ چڑھتے رہیں گے؟
کیا کسی ماں کی فریاد سنی جائے گی جس کا جوان بیٹا صرف اس لیے مر گیا کہ اس کی ڈگری کو HEC نے تسلیم نہیں کیا؟
کیا یہ پاکستان کا وہی مستقبل ہے جس کا وعدہ قائداعظم نے کیا تھا؟

ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں:

1. تمام متاثرہ طلباء کی ڈگریوں کی فوری اور غیر مشروط تصدیق کی جائے۔
2. ان اموات اور خودکشیوں پر آزاد عدالتی تحقیقاتی کمیشن بنایا جائے۔
3. ذمہ داران – چاہے وہ HEC کے افسران ہوں یا یونیورسٹی مالکان – کے خلاف سخت تادیبی کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے۔
4. متاثرہ والدین کو ریاستی سطح پر معافی، مالی امداد، اور عزت و احترام دیا جائے۔
یہ احتجاج صرف ایک ڈگری کا نہیں، یہ احتجاج ایک نسل کے مستقبل کا ہے۔
