An additional 3,000 paramilitary personnel for what?

Existing paramilitary forces in Manipur have proven utterly incompetent in handling violence. You can deploy additional forces in Imphal Valley to control Arambai Tenggol and Meitei supremacists.

As for the hills, we do not need any more of these Cobras or Rattlesnakes. Bring back the two battalions of Assam Rifles that were moved out of Manipur if you truly want peace in the hills.

Only Assam Rifles @official_dgar knows how to handle hill people.

What will all these mainland @crpfindia and @BSF_India personnel even do in the hills? They are not trained to operate in the rugged terrain of the Indo-Burma borderlands. They can barely breathe properly at those altitudes. How do you expect them to fight militants?

She was displaced during the 2023 Kuki-Meitei War, after which her family moved to Nagaland. She used to represent Nagaland, and we were very proud of her.

However, considering the current political climate and the rise of fascism among Tangkhul NSCN-IM-aligned tribes in Nagaland, it is good that she has chosen to represent Mizoram instead. The Mizos are our own blood, our brothers and sisters, and our kin.

She should continue to represent Mizoram until we achieve a political solution that separates us from Manipur.

Ukhrul Times has published a misleading Google Map showing a village called Makui Asang next to Makui. There is no such village there. In fact, Ukhrul Times doesn't seem to know anything about the villages in that area.

The village at that location is called Makui Chaljang. It is a Kuki village and it is also the oldest village in that valley. It has a population of 656 people in the 2011 census.

Makui Asang is high up on the hill top. It has about 500 people in the 2011 census, and get this: It has no Scheduled Tribe population! That means there are no Kukis or Nagas living there!

Since it is a strategic height, it seems that the Naga militants try to go and get holed up there. The Kukis are smart enough to know that and counter them.

The Kuki people are #PeaceLoving, but peacefulness must never be misconstrued as weakness, nor restraint mistaken for helplessness. When a community is subjected to relentless propaganda, intimidation and terror that threaten its very existence, there will inevitably be consequences.

Peace demands #Truth, justice demands #Historical_Honesty and coexistence demands #MUTUAL_RESPECT. No community should be expected to surrender its identity, dignity or legitimate rights in the face of aggression. Lasting peace in Manipur will remain #Elusive until truth prevails over propaganda and justice takes precedence over #Political_Expediency.
