Deeply saddened and disheartened by the news of the killing of numerous unarmed Meitei youths in the remote Tengnoupal district of Manipur, near the Burma border. These youths hail from among those whose homes had been destroyed, leading them to desperate lives in various relief camps in Imphal for the last 7 months. Such brutal and inhumane acts only reveal a sinister intention to inflict extreme pain and provoke profound hatred to serve their narrow, ethnically driven political agenda. It is crucial that we comprehend this scheme and refrain from reacting solely with our emotions, so as not to fall into their trap.
