Back in June, I help my mom clean out her pool shed. There's a strand of old twinkle lights with plastic flamingos. "Throw them out," she says. "They don't work." But I see that the flamingos came off easily, so I start to pull them off. "I can do something with these."
It seems to me that if the school is not providing a service (classes, research supervision), I shouldn’t have to pay. I also can’t get student loans for this fee, since those require being in classes (inc. a thesis course).
I recently learned that my graduate program will charge me a fee of 2.5 terms of tuition to graduate because I completed the degree faster than normal. Can somebody help me understand? Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to object? #AcademicChatter#gradschool
