After 35 years, how well does Joyner’s endurance performance model still hold up?
I’m excited to share our latest paper where we used this classic model in a large cohort of 888 individuals , from recreational athletes to world-class.

Fot those interested in all things fatigue, I had a great discussion with Tony Boutagy as part of his exceptional podcast series - he is so talented at 'getting it all out' of those he interviews. Link below. Enjoy! Honourable mentions for @Scienceofsport@JeroenSwart@ProfTimNoakes and other collabotors.
For those interested in all things fatigue, I did a podcast with Tony Boutagy a few weeks ago which came out on Youtube today - link below. Enjoy. If may of course put you to sleep!! (-:

Thanks Tony for a great interview and final package / podcast...
You're hearing about people talk about dose-response increasingly. I remember a time where no one wanted to acknowledge it because the fancy dose measures would be defunct if you examined the relationship with response and the subsequent implication for training prescription!
Our new paper is available @EJAP_official! In this exploratory study, we assessed the magnitude and variance of physiological strain across moderate and vigorous exercise intensities using three prescription methods: METs, %VO₂max, and lactate thresholds.

A massive team effort to produce this joint ESSA & ACSM expert statement on “Physical Activity and Exercise Intensity Terminology”, which has been published in both JSaMS https://t.co/CqHzbleCht & https://t.co/XEnHHagwRC

@SimonBrundish All I heard on radio today repeatedly was ... Slot deserves backing because of last season ... but Salah is wrong to rely on past performances.
@Clagopuvigo Given the known high variation for numerous reasons in "match activity profiles" NOT "performance" is this an ethical study? Especially when framed as "white players performed better than black players".
