huh I guess this is funny. but this could actually accelerate things:

1. assume data center doesn't count as "the lab" and so its bandwidth isn't limited

2. the lab workers, incomprehensibly frustrated by 56kbps, do everything they can to delegate all development work to models running at the data center, while also decreasing human oversight

maybe we don't need AGI to solve aging, even though aging literally has "agi" in it

it would be nice to have lots of personal AGIs running on local hardware, relentlessly solving all of *our* problems

though likely the ones that will be most competitively fit in a world of AGI versus AGI will be those that focus on solving *their own* problems
