Why the massive indiscriminate destruction of so much of Gaza? If Israel can render it uninhabitable, then it can be depopulated -- its population transferred elsewhere -- as a "humanitarian" gesture while carrying out Nakba II. https://t.co/tKriJwwOhv
Today I’m announcing my support for The Six Nations competing in Olympic Lacrosse under its own Tribal flag.
Their ancestors created the game.
They perfected it for a millennium.
Their circumstances are unique and they should be granted an exception to field their own team.
@ibnabitareq Maybe unity is not the right concept. Feels too high stakes, right? I think a group as diverse as American Muslims will naturally have its areas of consensus and areas of disagreement. But the intensity of feelings certainly makes it feel high stakes...
US Rep Brian Mast, “I would encourage the other side to not so lightly throw around the idea of innocent Palestinian civilians.
I don't think we would so lightly throw around the term innocent Nazi civilians.”
This is absolutely vile
I'm glad we got Muslim social scientists to clap back at shoddy reporting that will literally endanger the lives of Muslim Americans. Thank you @_abuelbanat
"Based on what I've seen it was done by the other team.."
Biden on Israeli bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza. We remember what happend last time he claimed to have "seen" something.
In addition to blocking people from entering the country based on ideological screenings, Trump said he would revoke student visas and deport anti-Israel demonstrators. He also pledged to expand his Muslim ban:

This is hugely important and cannot get lost. As Liz Cheney said, Jim Jordan was the congressman most involved with Trump’s plans to steal the election. Not only is he unfit to be Speaker, he should be expelled from the House, as I wrote in an @amprog report last April.
Iran is currently exporting ~3.15 million barrels of oil/day. Let's say they're sold at ~$80/barrel. That means is takes about three weeks for Iran to get $6 billion in oil revenue. Yet, I hear no concern about the world's oil dependence as contributing to arming Hamas
🧵 A lot of Americans just don’t know what life is like for those in Gaza, so here’s an analogy that might help:
Imagine Gaza as Rhode Island. Here’s what reality would look like:
At this point in my doctoral journey, my dissertation footnotes have become a place for comic relief. Exhibit A:
"At this point in my life, I have neither the time nor patience for Michel Foucault."
Author Tazeen Ali told @BoniukInstitute Grad Salon that she hopes her book "The Women's Mosque of America" puts US Muslim women 'on the map' as religious actors and change-makers. Also to highlight the US as a viable and important site for Islamic studies.
I finally listened to the Yaqeen podcast Dogma Disrupted and the only thing I learned is that they don't like secularism. And they also don't know what secularism is, apparently.
@ibnabitareq I'm being judgmental... Much of the support for that statement felt more like prejudice (against LGBTQ folks and"liberal" Muslims) than principled dissent. Ultimately I wish our community could talk about these complex issues rather than make blanket statements.
