Underrated life advice: A good life is built by simply doing uncomfortable things sooner. The delayed conversation gets harder. The ignored problem gets bigger. The small repair gets more expensive. Peace is never found through avoidance. It’s found through direct early action.
Uncommon advice:
If you don't know what to pursue in life right now, pursue yourself.
Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself. Then the right path will reveal itself.
This needs a bit of nuance. Saying this as a 37 year old. Take it with a pinch of salt.
Everything is temporary, not just romance. The logic that you should focus on making money first because romance is temporary, implies either a painful romantic experience or some severe emotional detachment and cold heartedness or a form of materialism. Shayaad ghaav kaafi gehra hai.
There seems to be an implication that money is not temporary and this could not be more wrong. My father once said something 15 years ago that I have never forgotten. He said "We are not the owners of money but the keepers. Today we keep it. Tomorrow it will go to someone else." This taught me to purse knowledge and go for my PhD rather than take up a well paying corporate job at the time, a decision that I will never regret.
However, I definitely agree that your focus should be on securing financial security, especially when you are young, with the note that it should not be your sole focus. Pursue love if you can but only so long as you don't confuse it with, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, hawas. At a young age, it's typical to confuse the need for romance with lust and I've seen many people just lose themselves in the pursuit of lust just to waste time. Time that could have been spent bettering themselves.
Love is beautiful. Especially, when you are with someone who shares your life goals and even more so when you have children. The love you feel for your child is the most powerful emotion you will have experienced. Even if it is temporary, due to our mortality, it is the most beautiful and most meaningful thing you will do. In this, I definitely think that the sooner you experience this feeling, the better.
To conclude, definitely focus on making money first but not because love/romance is temporary but because money is important to the stability of a long term relationship and resulting family. Definitely do not lose yourself in the pursuit of money.

I am an eternal optimist about India.
But our politicians rarely deliver beyond the photo op. For something as beautiful as the Network State, India is political and bureaucratic hell.
However, as they say, India disappoints both optimists and pessimists.

An Open Letter to the Jantar Mantar protestors:
My dear young friends,
I address you today not as a politician or an MP, but as someone deeply troubled by what is happening to your generation of young Indians.
This is personal for me. I was born to a middle-class family: my father was a salaried newspaper employee, my mother a homemaker, with three children to educate on one income. For a family like ours, merit was not a slogan. Scholarships, fair examinations, honest results — these were the only way one salary could carry three children's dreams.
I went to school in Mumbai and Kolkata, to college here in Delhi, topped the University and earned admission into IIM — and chose instead to follow my passion for international affairs, in America, on a scholarship. Nothing was inherited; everything was earned by hard work and yes, Exams.
So I know that a fair, merit-based system is the only ladder for young people from lower and middle-income families to climb up. When that ladder is broken — papers leaked, examinations cancelled, trust destroyed — the children of the rich and powerful do not suffer. They have other ladders. It is your dreams, and your families' sacrifices (and tragically, in some homes, young lives themselves) that are betrayed.
To the young people gathered at Jantar Mantar, and those raising your voices peacefully across India: this country hears you. Your anger is not indiscipline — it is the anguish of a generation that did everything right and was still betrayed . You are not alone.
And to the millions of young Indians watching quietly: your generation is not a problem to be managed. You are the answer to India's future. Do not lose hope. This ladder will be rebuilt — by you, and by every Indian who stands with you.
To Shri Sonam Wangchuk-ji, my heartfelt appeal: please end your fast. You have awakened the conscience of the nation; that is what a fast is meant to do. India needs your voice for the long road ahead.
With Parliament in session again from Monday, we will have an opportunity to raise the students’ issues in the highest forum of our democracy. That’s where the problem should be addressed, not by fasting unto death. Please heed my plea.
And finally, to the Government: I respectfully urge you to reach out and engage in the dialogue our democracy owes its young citizens. That is not weakness; that is statesmanship.
Hustle culture optimizes for input (work), not output (impact).
It is okay to put in long hours. It is okay to sacrifice things for your goal. But do not waste effort optimizing theatrics. Put your effort into things that actually matter, things that move you closer to what you really want.
If you do not know what you want, get that clarity first. Your goals cannot be a copy-paste of someone else's goals.
You succeed only when you put effort in the right direction, at the right time, on something you genuinely care about. If you are seeing a dead end, switch.
You cannot and should not be perpetually delusional.
Hope this helps.
