@JaneDoe_duhh2@d4kdd "ought" is not "is". We live in the real world, not the hypothetical one in your head. "ought" isn't going to save a girl who willingly puts herself in bad situations despite being told not to.
@captainRonMcC@marcthiessen How much money will be spent per boat destroyed? How many of our aircraft will be hit per boat destroyed? How fast can Iran replace them? This does not calculate in our favor which is why we're not doing it. I'm afraid you've overestimated the capacity of the US military.
@captainRonMcC@marcthiessen No it's not trivial to hit a small fast target. And even trying means fully restarting hostilities which means running constant risky sorties (Iran has already shown they can hit our aircraft) on hundreds and hundreds of boats for weeks or even months.
Some guys are terrible at reading when, how much, and what kind of inappropriateness to apply. Some are very good at it. But the fact of the matter is that the amount that works is greater than zero and women don't actually want zero.
And yet plenty of guys are in a relationship exactly because they crossed some boundary or other that women on here will tell you you should never do. Fact is there's a level of inappropriateness that can and does pay off sometimes.
I think men just refuse to accept that there are in fact some social situations where there is just no way to appropriately hit on someone or ask them out, and when that happens you just have to accept it and move on. But alas, entitlement
There's constant friction between the advice that guys receive vs what actually works in the real world. Eventually every guy has the experience of seeing a woman be receptive to something he's been told that women absolutely do not like.
@QueenHuntWrite@obakachantachi It is very obviously true that hot guys have more leeway to push boundaries. You look ridiculous trying to deny this. Do you really honestly think that if an ugly guy and a hot guy tried the same "creepy" line on 100 women that the hot guy wouldn't have more successes?
The most insane thing about these snakes all scrambling to pretend that woke didn't exist or that they had nothing to do with it is that they really believe that. Even as they continue to perform it.
@yc@ScottLammert You're doing textbook woke 1.0 in this very tweet. You're using racial/gender identity groups as a wedge while claiming it's "suspicious" that people are pushing back alone those lines.
@MinnowsRCool Largely those 7th gen attempts at photorealism looked bad even then. Without the technical constraints they would just look like how visually bad modern games look now of which there are plenty.
@MinnowsRCool My point is that the technical constraint argument is irrelevant or at least greatly overstated. If an old game feels visually compromised to the point that a remake is a genuine visually artistic improvement the the original must not have looked very good in the first place.
@MinnowsRCool You're conflating looking "worse" with technical constraints. For example it does not follow that SH2 og looks worse than the remake just because it exists within the technical limitations of the PS2. Its artistry is 100% clear and immaculately executed. It does not look "worse".
@SalmonGPT@terrenceviz@Thinkseeker1 This is not true for any game ever. High fps is always 100% of the time an improvement for every type of game in every genre. The game could be a spreadsheet simulator and it would still feel way better at higher fps. Not up for debate.
