The TVK government is coming across as one that doesn’t apply much thought and drops projects the moment they become hot potatoes.

Chief Minister Joseph C. Vijay has phenomenal public support. He should use that political equity to do the hard things. Instead, he seems content appeasing people with the sops promised in the manifesto.

Creating jobs and developing the economy are the only sustainable ways to uplift Tamil Nadu. That requires serious leadership skills.

Delivering on sops doesn’t take much.

A hundred days is too short a period to judge the Chief Minister’s leadership skills. But what we’ve seen so far is unflattering.

Surprisingly, TVK too seems to have joined the bandwagon of neglecting Coimbatore, just like every other party. 😑

If the govt can announce FSI relaxations for select corridors in Chennai, why not Coimbatore?

At the very least, relax FSI along Avinashi Road and let Coimbatore grow too.

நாடும் நாட்டு மக்களும் நாசமாக போனாலும் பரவாயில்லை இவர்களும் இவர்களது சபையும் முன்னேற வேண்டும்.

மதம் மாறிய மக்களுக்கு ஆரம்பத்தில் உதவி செய்வார்கள் அதன்பிறகு அந்த குடும்பத்தின் உழைப்பில் தசமபாகத்தை வாங்கி மீண்டும் சம்பாதிப்பார்கள். சம்பாதித்த பணத்தில் வெளிநாட்டில் சொத்துக்கள் வாங்கி குவிக்க வேண்டும், குறிப்பாக கனடா போன்ற நாடுகளில்(கேரளாவில் அதிகமான பாஸ்டர்கள் கனடாவில் தான் சொத்துக்களை வாங்கி குவித்து இருக்கிறார்கள் இது உண்மையான தகவல்)

இந்த கொம்பன் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து விரட்டி அடித்த தொழிற்சாலைகள் ஒன்று ஸ்டெர்லைட், அதைவிட பெரிய விஷயம் குமரி மாவட்டத்தில் வரவேண்டிய மாபெரும் துறைமுகம் கிட்டத்தட்ட 30,000 கோடி முதலீட்டில் வர வேண்டியது அதை தடுத்தார்கள், குமரி மாவட்டத்தில் வரவேண்டிய விமான நிலையத்தை தடுத்தார்கள், கூடங்குளம் அனல் மின் நிலையத்துக்கு முடிந்த அளவு முட்டுக்கட்டை கொடுத்தார்கள் ஆனால் மத்திய அரசு நேரடியாக தலையிட்டு இந்த தேசத் துரோகிகளை விரட்டியடித்தார்கள்!

ஆனாலும் கூடங்குளம் மின் நிலையம் வருவதற்கு மத்திய அரசு ரொம்ப பாடுபட்டது இதுபோல் எத்தனை முன்னேற்றத்தை இவர்கள் தடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள் தற்போது பரந்தூர் விமான நிலையம் அதற்கு முடு விழா கிறிஸ்தவ ஆட்சியால் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது

தற்போது ஸ்டெர்லைட் ஆலை அதிகம் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் இல்லாத குஜராத்துக்கு சென்று விட்டது
ஒரு தொழிற்சாலை வந்தால் எத்தனை ஆயிரம் பேர் வேலை பார்க்கிறார்கள் என்பது இவர்களுக்கு தெரியாது, அதை வைத்து அங்குள்ள கடைகள் மறைமுக வேலை வாய்ப்புகள் இப்படி பல லட்சம் பேர்கள் வாழ்வார்கள் அந்த வாழ்வாதாரத்தை தடுத்து விரட்டி அடித்த பெருமை கிறிஸ்தவ பாதிரியார்களுக்கு மட்டும்தான் கொடுக்க வேண்டும் இஸ்லாமியர்களை விட தேசத்துக்கும் தமிழகத்துக்கு அதிகம் துரோகம் செய்வது இங்கு உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்தான் என்பதை யாரும் மறந்து விடக்கூடாது.

Remember, this Parandur airport project was started and locations identified under ADMK rule. Later the location was analysed with all pros and cons under various parameters and finalised by the DMK. TVK has dropped it to feed Vijay’s narcissistic ego. They just had to start the build. But no, they won’t.

Saying politicians and officials have invested in lands around is a baseless argument. Where in Tamil Nadu are there land parcels in which any officials or politicians have not invested?

This will haunt Tamil Nadu for decades to come. All thanks to the lovely people of my state for going behind this con man with their tongues hanging out!

Chennai is already badly lagging Bengaluru & Hyderabad. We should have been in the final stages of a 2nd airport by now—not restarting the process.

Parandur wasn’t just an idea: site selection, technical studies, clearances, DPR, land acquisition, compensation & even acquisition of 1,700+ acres of total 3000 acres required from Private owners had already happened.

Yet, like the earlier Sriperumbudur airport proposal and Chennai–Salem Expressway, Parandur now is becoming another lost opportunity.
Ultimately, Tamil Nadu loses—and so do our youngsters. Thousands of educated Chennai youth already move to Bengaluru & Hyderabad for better-paying opportunities.

“We’ll find another site” doesn’t solve the problem. Starting site selection, studies, clearances and land acquisition all over again means years lost.

Even in the best case, a completely new airport could take close to a decade to see its first flight. Imagine where Bengaluru, Hyderabad and other cities will be by 2036.

Chennai voted overwhelmingly for TVK. The city deserved to be rewarded with growth and opportunity—not punished by another decade of delay.
The saddest part? Some hero-worshipping youngsters will be are celebrating this, without realising they may be celebrating a decision that hurts their own careers and future.
