@Quicktake @kalpenn Oversimplification leads to wrong analysis and it is sad to see Bloomberg giving wide audience to these kind of message. Mining is not a lottery just for the purpose of winning a prize. It is about securing the network. PoW and PoS have different ideologies and different use case
@rebelyell420@KimDotcom To challenge the US. Win win situation for EU and Russia (as Russia hates the US).
US can't allow that so they provoke everyone to a war so it weakens the whole Europe while they become even stronger (stronger export, USD etc). EU is so stupid it is sad.
@rebelyell420@KimDotcom I have a slightly different take. US does not want other major power. It does not fear Germany but the whole EU. Now that it can't sabotage it anymore from the inside via its vassal UK, it must make sure EU and Russia don't work together otherwise it could boost EU enough (1/2)
@privacytoolsIO In other countries, fines are even lower.
I don't trust one second these companies with my information and stopped using them few years back (even using android phone without Google account. It is a pain) because collecting private data is the core of their business model.
@privacytoolsIO It was meant as a half joke.
I wouldn't be so sure about the fear of consequences. Facebook (and Google) make tens of billions of revenue by collecting and selling private data. Google paid $391M settlement for collecting user location in 40 states after they opted out.
In 1951, Adelbert Ames created the mind-boggling ‘Ames Window’. It’s so effective that even when you know how it works you can’t break the illusion

@BitcoinChosen@Nouriel@jack That is a very good point. Please note that the technology works without stable coins. Tether currently acts as a bridge between crypto and fiat currencies and it is essential that we find a trustless alternative.
