*🚨Report regarding SLC incident*🚨

The viral claim against ASI Virender is misleading

🛎️📢On 13.09.2025 at around 9:30 AM a PCR call was received regarding sale of illicit liquor/consumption by some individuals and the same was marked to ASI Virender for necesaary action.

◼️Thereafter the police staff reached the spot and they seized 20 quarters and 20 bottles of illicit liquor from the said shops.

◼️Thereafter approximatly 2 hours later a Subsequent PCR call was received in the police station by a woman against ASI Virender, apparently to pressurize him not to take legal action on the previous PCR Calls.

◼️ Thereafter North-east community members gathere at the Police Station demanding immediate action against the ASI.

◼️Seeing the gravity of the situation DCP/SED and ACP Lajpat Nagar reached the spot and pacified the north east crowd.
The crowd was assured of fair and transparent enquiry into the incident and appropriate disciplinary action.

◼️Soon after this, appropriate disciplinary action was taken against the police personnel and he was transferred to district line with immediate effect.

Further detailed enquiry into this incident is being done by PG cell of South East District.

We appeal: kindly avoid sharing unverified claims. Law will take its fair course.

@washingtonpost ने TV9 भारतवर्ष से माफ़ी मांगी है और स्वीकार किया है कि उनकी रिपोर्ट में @TV9Bharatvarsh को लेकर जो दावा किया गया था, वो ग़लत था.

7 जून 2025 को द वॉशिंगटन पोस्ट ने भारत-पाकिस्तान तनाव के दौरान भारतीय न्यूज़ चैनलों की रिपोर्टिंग की आलोचना करते हुए एक आर्टिकल छापा. इसमें TV9 भारतवर्ष का नाम लेकर ये दावा किया गया कि चैनल ने तथ्यों से भटककर गैर ज़िम्मेदार रिपोर्टिंग की. TV9 ने साक्ष्यों-तथ्यों के साथ इसे चुनौती दी और वॉशिंगटन पोस्ट को कानूनी नोटिस भेजा गया.

नतीजा यह है कि @washingtonpost को सच के सामने झुकना पड़ा. उन्होंने अपनी गलती मानी और माफ़ी मांगी. उन्होंने बाकायदा आधिकारिक ईमेल में लिखा: “We regret the error” और TV9 भारतवर्ष का जिक्र रिपोर्ट से हटा दिया गया.

इसलिए @TV9Bharatvarsh में जब हम कहते हैं कि फिक्र आपकी, परवाह देश की… तो फिक्र होती है साक्ष्यों की, तथ्यों की, सच की. और परवाह होती है देश की, छवि की, सोच और धारणा की. यह हमारे काम की तथ्यपरकता और सच्चाई ही है कि हम लोगों के सामने और विश्वपटल पर डटकर, मजबूती से और ईमानदारी से अपना काम करते हैं.

सत्य को उजागर करना हमारी प्रतिज्ञा भी है और प्रतिबद्धता भी.
