We have the great pleasure to annonce the French-Italian Joint Meeting GFPP24 organized by the French and Italian Peptide and Protein Societies from June 22nd to 26th, 2025 in Aussois (France). For more details, please visit the website: https://t.co/u7RMwywR7g
Our laboratory is looking for a postdoc with expertise in protein biochemistry and structural biology to work on novel pathways regulated by ADP-ribosylation of nucleic acids. Please RT.
Our team in Orléans (France) is looking for a new postdoc, to work closely with a research associate, Ibtissam Talhaoui, on a project focused on potential SUMO E3 ligases targeting the nucleosome. The details here: https://t.co/CM3poCelab
Nous recherchons un(e) étudiant(e) en Master 2 motivé(e) pour un stage de recherche de 6 mois, avec possibilité de prolongation en contrat de doctorat.

A new paper from @IvanAhelLab about enzymes that efficiently ubiquitylate DNA and RNA in vitro and maybe in cells. With contribution from Orléans by @vvinz and a little bit myself. Part of a larger project on noncanonical Ub by DELTEX E3 ligases led by Kang Zhu as the 1st author.
TWO postdoc positions available in our lab to study ADP-ribosylation and ubiquitylation signalling! We are looking for someone with experience in biochemistry/structural biology/cell biology to work on these exciting projects!

We have a 3-year, fully-funded PhD position available from October 2024. If you’re a motivated chemist interested to work at the interface of chemistry and biology do not hesitate to apply! The deadline is April the 10th, so don’t wait the last minute! #academicjobs#PhDposition
Very happy to share the preprint of our talented PhD student El hadji Cisse @CBM_UPR4301 : A straightforward method to prevent the under-estimated problem of aspartimide formation during chemical ligation-mediated protein synthesis https://t.co/PkK4owjKXo #peptide#NCL

@Cochrane_lab Free phenols are usually not a problem (but I never worked with dopamine), but phenolic esters are stable to TFA cleavage. In the case of 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzyl and 2-hydroxy-4methoxybenzyl (Hmb backbone amide protecting group), a piperidine treatment cleaves the esters.
Every peptide chemist will tell you that C-terminal amides are more stable than C-terminal acids. It turns out that is completely wrong for intracellular proteins! A fantastic collaboration with @jcornlab, @matthias_muhar, @jakobfarnung
Happy to share this fresh preprint @ChemRxiv on a collaborative effort between @CBM_UPR4301 and @Servier ...and it is also my first work as a co-corresponding author! 🤩

We have a PhD position to work on protein SUMOylation using a mixture of approaches, funded by our ERC Starting Grant. Orléans is a beautiful medium-sized city on the Loire, not far from Paris. I'll do my best to make it a good experience.
