The hotel that I booked with the https://t.co/t5LQBjyF5v app said they’d happily approve a refund but I needed to request it via https://t.co/t5LQBjyF5v.

Green shoots I see in America right now:
1. Industrial policy and the factory boom
2. The YIMBY movement
3. The rise in young people's wealth
4. A whole bunch of new inventions
5. The re-fragmentation of the internet

@Chamoen@aakashgupta@verge Or The Amazon Echo leaders talking about Siri / Apple Homepod.
Cell phones were ubiquitous and daily-use products— and Apple made them great.

@arinewman That’s… MMF? (Marketing Market Fit)
You can make a landing page that looks cool, promises all sorts of compelling features that spark curiosity, seem valuable, paper over costs and complexities for the user, emphasizes the positive emotions around the idea, etc. That’s not PMF.
I often think about @bungarsargon’s brilliant point that every time you get angry on the internet, someone is making money as a result.
Reminding myself of that fact really helps me keep my equanimity.
"The people calling for gun control today wouldn’t shed a tear if every child on earth was shot. Just remember that. They want to to hurt you."
An absurd exaggeration like this (direct quote from a real tweet) is the ticket to viral spread.
But only because people want to either a) believe it, or b) shame the poster to even more culture war power they can abuse.

Darren Barefoot died on February 20, 2023 following complications from metastatic cancer. Just weeks before he passed, Darren wrote this reflection on his life. I hope you find pleasure in it. https://t.co/6xknZCOVml
Idealism isn't thinking the world is different than it is. It's knowing how you want the world to be, orienting your behavior in that direction, and trying to inspire others to do the same.
Idealism isn't naïveté, it's ambition—a refusal to concede the future to the present.
Ahead of tonight's #sotu2023, measure the nation's progress with numbers instead of rhetoric!
For instance, did you know that the federal government collected $5.0 trillion in revenue in fiscal year 2022 (FY 2022) — or $15,098 per person?
