The updated INSULIN Act would expand the $35 copay cap and move us closer to a future where no one has to ration insulin. But it won't pass without public pressure. If you live in the USA, email your Senators and urge them to support the INSULIN Act: https://t.co/D8ZYT5wCO0
@sltrib The @UTinsulin4all Chapter advocates for lower costs for those with diabetes regardless of type. Data indicates 1 in 3 individuals with diabetes ration their insulin. Join our movement to demand change! We are here on X or email us at [email protected].

Step right up to the Circus of Pharma Greed! 🎪💰 Watch the contortions, illusions & tricks that keep insulin unaffordable. On Feb 4, we showed Congress the hoops patients must jump through to access this life-saving med.

@miss__diabetes i have been stockpiling for months since i, sadly, expected this outcome. i have 3 t1ds in my house so it has been extremely expensive. the uncertainty of what's ahead is terrifying and with the mounting threat of #H5N1 the terror is becoming exponential.
@DiabeticDadUK hashi's and some mysterious joint issue that i have been told might be lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, but since i do not have all the markers for one or the other get no treatment and hence have been in pain and stiff for 20 years. need to get tested for celiac. so stay tuned! 😄
I'm Stephanie, and I've had type 1 diabetes for years in Utah. Despite advances in insulin, prices have soared, forcing me to ration insulin and food. Patent laws enable insulin monopolies, driving up costs. I'm voting tomorrow to demand change.
What's your plan to vote?
*New blog post* Diabetics need more than $35 insulin coupons! Read about the pitfalls of these unregulated programs and what we should be doing for insulin-dependents in the US. https://t.co/TusOXJPXoj
@votereale Not to mention that phones are also medical devices now. I know they say there will be exceptions made, but many parents already have to fight for their kid to be able to carry a phone that runs the tech that keeps them alive. It will only get worse if phones are disallowed.
@realtahiramin@IMAKglobal How fitting that 1984 was the year I was diagnosed with type one diabetes and I am also a lifelong Utahn. I take this as a sign that becoming an #insulin4all advocate was meant to be. Thank you for making sure patients like me have the information we need to break this monopoly.
Today is the 40th anniversary of the Hatch-Waxman Act.
In our new video, @realtahiramin explains how the Act came to be and how Pharma turned it into a tool to extend drug patent monopolies and keep drug prices sky-high.
@SenatorRomney can we please stop perpetrating the myth that pharma is the sole funder of innovation? It has consistently been shown that it is the US taxpayer that bears that burden. When something looks profitable only then does pharma swoop in "to save the day."
@theramblingfool@SenSanders Then how come pharma charges so much for insulin? Insulin has been around since 1922. And, sure there have been improvements since that time. But, not enough to justify charging over $300 a vial. A vial doesn't even last a month for a person with diabetes. I'm betting on greed.
