Юлия Навальная выступила на международном правозащитном форуме Oslo Freedom Forum и посвятила свою речь адвокатам Алексея Навального — Вадиму Кобзеву и Алексею Липцеру, которые были осуждены за свою работу по защите политика.

«Каждый день один из адвокатов стоял у ворот колонии с шести утра на морозе лишь для того, чтобы увидеть Алексея и убедиться, что он все еще жив»,
— рассказала она.

Навальная отметила, что адвокаты не были политическими активистами, а просто выполняли свою профессиональную работу.
«Их обыскивали. Их унижали. Им угрожали. И в конечном итоге их арестовали просто за то, что они делали свою работу — за то, что были хорошими адвокатами»,
— заявила она.

В своей речи Навальная также связала преследование юристов с общей практикой авторитарных режимов.
«Когда диктатор хочет нанести удар по борцам за свободу, политикам и активистам, он прежде всего пытается лишить их поддержки и опоры»,
— сказала она.

В завершение Навальная поблагодарила Human Rights Foundation за участие в кампании в поддержку Кобзева и Липцера и призвала оказывать практическую помощь политзаключенным и их семьям.

And the Oslo Freedom Forum is rebranding them as martyrs without scrutiny, while hiding the forum's real function which is regime-change propaganda.

Where's the platform for victims of the FLN attacks that Rusesabagina was convicted of funding? It doesn't exist.

Because this isn't about justice; it's about weaponizing "dissidents" to delegitimize governments that don't bow to a certain political playbook.

@ThorHalvorssen (the founder of Oslo Freedom Forum) has been doing this for years.

He gave a stage to his own cousin, a violent coup leader who physically abducted a government minister.

He employed an executive who fantasized about torturing political opponents.

He took money from a slush fund tied to Islamophobic hate groups.

And now he's draping the language of human rights over convicted criminals to launder a political intervention.

Ingabire and Rusesabagina are just the latest pawns in a dirty game that has nothing to do with universal human dignity.
