@venturefounder@datingbyblaine I had a tall athletic friend in private school. His parents werent short (177-180cm), but they wanted to guarantee he would be above average height and so he had been on GH injections since 8, even though he was already among the taller classmates.
@CoachDanGo Poliquin liked to do this, but I always preferred ending the set based on RiR/fatigue proximity. Mel Siff liked to call it "cybernetic periodisation" (adjusting the planned workout on that given day based on your given state).
@BowTiedKong Stomping feet is something I'd heard about for 20 years but always disregarded it. Saw a clip on here not long ago where one kid hip tosses into mount, takes back, RNC, and then the other kid's big brother walks up and stomps his skull into oblivion out cold, horrible sound.
@ky__zo I mean, that's all countries? Even in the US with the highest per capita gyms/fitness industry, most people are fat and out of shape. Poland has a healthy MMA culture, if you sign up at a bjj/mma school you'll be surrounded by a lot more fit ppl.
@KettlebellDan Go https://t.co/hkNxrDy83h , type in your zip, pick a provider that has the masters and lower extremities certs. You'll walk out of the appointment feeling better than you came in, and symptoms should be gone within a week or less if its not really bad and you're resting it.
@hubermanlab@sweatystartup Guys like Jouko Ahola have incredibly resilient backs, can deadlift 3x bw with incredibly rounded backs to failure for decades and be completely fine.
Others (like me, fully coached), herniated a disk in my 20s doing triples with a submaximal load with textbook form.
@hubermanlab@sweatystartup Going down the DNA rabbit hole, theres literally over ~2 dozen genetic markers influencing your propensity for disk degeneration/herniation/spondylosis. Unless youre aware of your risk factors, it's kind of like driving blind without a seat belt.
@BowTiedKong IME daylife is more depressing than nightlife. I've seen an asian billionaire that had his personal assistant tipping $100's to any staff that walked by. I've also seen Stephen Hawking wheeled around by his assistant for people watching. Never say never.
@jameslavish@MsMelChen Bold 8890 was peak for me, bold 9900 was the last. Best work phone ever, but i didnt get another after I had two 9900's fail on me after 4-6 months. For managing contacts & actual telephony & communications, they were untouchable.
