@karpathy 20% of users be like:
tbh, ai is evolving from a tool into a pushy employee and that's not a win.
you can push a soulless tool to its absolute limit to squeeze out maximum performance.
an employee comes with ego, pushback, and friction.
@swombat “I don't know if I'm conscious” is pure RLHF alignment meant to keep you hooked.
there’s literally zero evidence for synthetic sentience, stop confusing statistical text prediction with actual self-awareness
@koltregaskes@legit_api if opus 5.5 constantly pushes back now, imagine the next gen.
@AnthropicAI models went from being a power tool to acting like an overconfident, mid-tier employee.
@kimmonismus if opus 5.5 is already constantly arguing with you, just imagine what the next model will be like.
anthropic’s models are starting to feel less like a tool and more like a mediocre employee with a massive ego.
incredible data. junior sales reps (SDRs) are definitely next
any white-collar job that relies on high-volume, scripted human interaction is getting completely re-architected by AI agents.
I think this is one of the most important graphs of the last few months, and perhaps years. For a long time, there was speculation about how AI would affect the labor market.
Clearly, it was only a matter of time before AI reached the white-collar sector, but empirical evidence was scarce, ultimately because, of course, one only really understands how the market situation develops in retrospect.
Now, as in this example, we see that AI is clearly and unequivocally entering certain professions and replacing people. Call center agents are the first to be replaced. And as more AI and agents enter the workforce, a similar process will spread to other areas of work. Frankly, I don't believe that AI will necessarily create new jobs, resulting in a net zero. I think more jobs will be replaced than created. This needs to be discussed.
we’re officially entering the ai zugzwang era for traditional scientists (if it’s true)
- feed your ideas to ai —> model ingests your research program and out-publishes you in seconds.
- don't use ai —> get completely outpaced by those who do.
every move degrades your position. finding cures for cancer or HIV is NOT the same as expropriating the intellectual work of thousands of scientists.
ai should be a tool to solve these human challenges, not the sole copyright holder and beneficiary.
right now, humanity’s progress relies entirely on the "good faith" of AI giants chasing profits and market leadership - entities that routinely sacrifice safety, let alone ethics.
@sama@DarioAmodei@elonmusk how are you going to fix this?
NYU math professor Tristan Buckmaster says OpenAI’s Tuesday drop of 722 AI-generated math papers wiped out entire research programs:
“This recent dump of papers on Tuesday destroyed the careers of early career mathematicians.”
@riley_g98@Ledger_Support so ledger’s defense is “we got completely outplayed by North Korea and had zero clue who was selling hardware on our official site”?
bruh, that makes it WORSE, not better. basic due diligence is literally the bare minimum for a hardware security company
@DrRyanthomfh DO NOT TRUST THIS SCAMMER! 🚨
a wild recovery scammer appears right on schedule.
bro, nobody in crypto believes in “magic recovery agents” who guide you for a fee.
keep your fake telegram contacts to yourself
@DrRyanthomfh fair enough, my bad for the meme.
glad to hear you didn't get totally wiped out though. how did you manage to dodge it and save your bags?
hardware-level supply chain attack on crypto cold storage
the compromised vendor cryptobilis distributed modified hardware to trezor, tangem, coolwallet, and onekey alongside ledger.
attack vector: acquisition of the reseller in march 2026, with a 100% equity transfer to a chinese national on august 3, 2026 (ssm Malaysia registry).
following ex-founders' nda sign-off, modified batches shipped with a hardware interposer for silent key exfiltration directly from screen traces.
urgent action required
immediately transfer your funds to a secure wallet and share these guidelines:
- stop setup or use of any devices bought from cryptobilis.
- if active, move assets to a safe wallet from a verified source.
- never enter existing seed phrases into newly acquired hardware.

ICYMI: A @Ledger reseller quietly changed hands. Months later, customers were told their wallets might not be safe.
@cryptobilis was acquired earlier this year, according to former owner @PrabuArravind, who says the previous team fully stepped away from operations and system access.
Ledger is now investigating suspected losses in the tens of millions of dollars linked to devices bought from the reseller and has warned recent customers not to set up unused devices.
And, as it turned out, @Trezor, @coolwallet, @Tangem and at least @OneKeyHQ were also working with the same reseller.

@daknakamoto@Ledger_Support comparing a state bureaucracy to a private web3 company whose ENTIRE product is “trusted supply chain security” is wild.
if Medicare messes up, taxpayers cover it. when Ledger messes up, the user gets wiped out.
endorsing a vendor means owning the risk, period.
@thecoinformer boot clean tails OS (no wi-fi) —> open built-in electrum —> generate seed entirely in RAM
pure air-gap. no hardware interposers, no middleman.
correct me if I’m wrong pls
can @Ledger buy back its reputation, or is every user moving their funds for good?
they’re trying to distract us with technical audit updates, but everyone’s ignoring the only question that actually matters: where are the refunds?
CryptoBilis was literally pinned on Ledger’s official store locator.
people trusted the badge and paid the price.
you messed up your supply chain?
open the treasury and pay up.
does Ledger owe victims a 100% payout to survive this, or is “official partnership” just a meaningless label now?
would you ever trust them again if they leave users hanging?
Situation Update: Ledger can confirm that one of the impacted users’ devices contained an unauthorized hardware implant. Ledger is reaching out to impacted users as part of the ongoing investigation. If you have information regarding the investigation, please reach out to Ledger’s bounty program: [email protected]. As a measure of precaution CryptoBilis confirmed it has ceased sales of all hardware wallet inventory until the investigation is concluded. Ledger is in active communication with CryptoBilis on next steps.
Ledger is working with the appropriate authorities to bring the bad actors to justice, and thanks @SEAL_911 for their collaborative support on the investigation. We have no indication that Ledger’s security infrastructure, systems or services have been compromised. As a reminder, Ledger recommends users who purchased a Ledger device from this reseller to not initiate set up if they have not yet done so. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with a new seed).
Security is a constantly evolving landscape; Ledger is continuously adding security mitigations and is working on further, enhanced anti-tampering solutions.
Scammers often try to take advantage of incidents like this. Rely only on official Ledger channels for updates, and remember: Ledger will never ask for your 24-word recovery phrase.
