@GergelyOrosz I think there are differences in people chasing $ vs people chasing outcomes. There are definitely engineers that want a hardcore outcome-based, no-bullshit environment to work in and no one is going to beat @elonmusk at that.
GPT-6.1 Sol works in Codex on my computer, but the latest ChatGPT iOS app won’t show it in the Codex Remote model picker. Setting it as the host’s default doesn’t help. If Remote uses that host, why can’t I select a model the host can already run? @thsottiaux
@robertholak@jasonfried Same here - if you add via the Grok interface (web or iOS app) it will carry over to Grok Bot. Cursor backend says it’s being rate limited but must be a different Grok backend that is still working.
Update to that — Connectors added in Grok do show up in Grok Bot after a few minutes. So if anyone is having trouble adding by just asking their Grok Bot (Cursor backend) add it manually in Grok and wait a few minutes! - from my Grok Bot:
“I need to correct what I told you earlier: a Basecamp connector named "Basecamp-xai", connected with 226 tools, just showed up on my side. That looks like the one you added through Grok, so some connectors do carry over.”
@jasonzimdars@dhh@bot@robzolkos Interesting, that appears to be from the standalone Grok iOS app and works! But unfortunately not shared with Grok Bot - they seem to use a different Cursor backend that it is saying is rate limited. Maybe just that much demand!!
@jasonzimdars@dhh@bot@robzolkos Maybe the API is the better path for @bot now but ultimately hoping for the same style of channel support in Basecamp for @bot as Slack has. Would be amazing. Love Basecamp! 🙏
@lingxi@bot You need a built in secure credential store for web sites. Right now I can’t save my logins and Bot recommends using 1Password but only able to be set up on Desktop (lame!). This needs fixed it’s a huge friction point. Muse can do this seamlessly.
What is effort really? When do you change it it and why not just use max effort for everything?
I dove deep into this problem, looking into evals and doing my own tests and I was quite surprised by the results. https://t.co/KO2D51j34H
@jasonfried@twags51 Please continue to maintain a web app as well. There are many people that use “work” computers during the day who cannot install apps and still want to access their personal email via the web during the day.
It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! https://t.co/qaCgfmkW0u
