@Yankees@StarrCompanies The first game after you announce Judge has a broken rib and you put Volpe at short and Cabby on the bench? Don’t blame the Judge injury if this fails, blame terrible lineup construction. Caballero needs to be playing every single day, this isn’t the time to platoon.
@RyanGarciaESM Why couldn’t we get the Blue Jays 10th and 11th hitters out? Because they have great bat to ball skills, they make pitchers work and every at bat is stressful because of the lack of strikeouts. You combat that by also making it difficult on the opposing team’s pitcher.
@RyanGarciaESM I hate when sports fans think one single player impacts a teams ability to win more than a balance of good/great players. Also starting pitching might be the least of the Yankees needs at the deadline. The idolization of individual players is short sighted and lacks context.
@RyanGarciaESM And they strikeout way too much, it just doesn’t translate in October. I’m not sure how many more times Yankee fans can watch them collapse in the postseason before they realize they are just built for 162 and not to succeed when it matters most.
@Tom_Smith717 Wow it’s unbelievable. Who could have thought that a player who is 5’10 and 197 pounds would be better suited for a more line drive, less uppercut approach?
@gkxngston@mdestefano14 What did he do in the playoffs? How about important games last year? We have gone from Jeter and Rivera coming up in the biggest moments to hE hAd gOoD nUmBeRs In ThE rEgUlAr SeAsOn. If you want the answer to why this team hasn’t won a damn thing in 17 years, it is this garbage.
@PlayoffYankees It isn’t about this year. We have seen this for 17 straight years and 8 years under Boone. It is the same story every year. Please tell me what evidence you have that this season will be any different. It’s not doomsday it’s fucking reality.
@floptara It isn’t just about this season. There is 17 years of data that tells us this team is too inconsistent and their philosophy doesn’t equate in the postseason.
