FIFA: “The meeting also addressed the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) proposal, where mistakes made were acknowledged. It was agreed that it was not the intention for the FIFA Council and FIFA Member Associations to feel excluded from the process and that the process should have been handled differently. It was further acknowledged that errors were also made after the proposal was leaked to media.
“In a separate letter to the FIFA Council and FIFA Member Associations, an apology was made for these errors together with a commitment to ensure they do not happen again. A review will now be conducted, and a report will be presented to the FIFA Council at its next scheduled meeting.” Defiant. But unlikely to placate Infantino’s many critics.
Infantino apologises but clearly not stepping down. FIFA in punchy mood. “With the project withdrawn, it was agreed FIFA will no longer tolerate any attacks on its integrity, good governance & due process and will take all necessary measures to protect and safeguard its name and reputation.”
@DeadlineDayLive He’d reshape our attack under Carrick with his versatility, pressing ability, ball-carrying, and counter-attacking quality. The issue? Price. INEOS have too many gaps to fill to blow the budget on one player.
Man Utd are the only club capable of financially pulling off a move for Vinicius Jr. this summer. A deal would depend on the signing bonus, transfer fee, salary and agent commissions. Real Madrid's position is clear: either he signs a new contract or they sell him. #MUFC#RMCF
Did anyone listen to that press statement by the House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee about the PFIPC scandal?
I find it rather curious that the committee expects Nigerians to simply take its word for it that every document linked to the PFIPC scandal was forged, including the alleged signature of the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Just like that?
On whose authority?
Which forensic laboratory or handwriting experts authenticated them?
Was the analysis conducted by an independent agency or by the committee itself? Or are we simply expected to believe the committee because it said so?
Forgery is not something you establish by press conference. It is established by evidence.
If forensic analysis was indeed conducted, then there should be no problem making that report public. Nigerians deserve to know who examined the documents, what methodology was used, and how the conclusion was reached.
What makes this even more difficult to swallow is that these documents circulated for months, generated public debate, attracted official reactions, and only now we're being told they were all fake from the very beginning.
That naturally raises more questions than it answers.
This isn't about defending anyone. It's about defending due process.
In a democracy, public institutions don't earn credibility by asking citizens to "trust us." They earn it by showing their work.
Until that happens, many Nigerians will struggle to see this as the end of the PFIPC controversy. They will see it as the beginning of another one.

Dear @BBCAfrica: To answer your question:
We spoke with Mr. Adeyemi this morning. According to his account, President #Tinubu's (@officialABAT) Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila (@femigbaja) (pictured below), appointed him to lead the Nigerian presidential agency in question, facilitated its inclusion in the national budget, and later sought 45% of the agency's allocated funding. That is how the "fake" presidential council allegedly ended up with a budget of nearly $1 million.
We are concerned because President @realDonaldTrump has spoken about protecting U.S. taxpayer interests from fraud and abuse abroad. The United States is the largest funder of the World Bank, and the Nigerian national budget at issue reportedly includes funding associated with the @WorldBankGroup. We believe @TheJusticeDept may have an interest in reviewing the matter.

Rodri is 30 years and has been injury prone for like 2 years this but a whole Real Madrid were fighting to get him and Manchester City that have been winning always tried their best to keep him.
Real Madrid just bought 30 years Dumfries and renewed 33 years Rudiger contract and happy with him. They also added Bernardo Silva who will be 32 this year.
Mikel Merino is also 30 years and Arsenal that won the league are keeping him. And many top teams will be ready to sign him if they decide to sell him.
31 years old McGinn is one of the most important player for Aston Villa under Unai Emery.
Liverpool have 35 years old Van Dijk at the back and they are ready to start the season with him.
Barcelona la liga champions have Frenkie De Jong in their midfield and always been a starter. Most clubs will go for him incase they’re ready to let him go.
Raphina will be 30 this year and he’s still Barca one of their best players.
PSG that won the champions league back to back needed Fabian Ruiz who’s 30 now to play a very important role.
Their best player is also Dembele who’s 29 years old with 32 years old Marquinhos leading their backline.
Bayern Munich that everyone saw them playing one of the beautiful football last season got Jonathan Tah who was 29 years and now 30 leading their backline. While Joshua Kimmich is their most important midfielder.
Harry Kane that is leading their attack is also 32 now.
Atletico Madrid have been very consistent in Europe always and they have 31 years old Marcos Llorente and they just bought 30 years old Grimaldo.
Serie A Champions Inter Milan that have been very consistent in Europe has 29 years Nico Barela, 32 years Hakan Calhanoglu and 37 years old Mkhitaryan in their midfield.
But there are some football fans saying the signing Tielemans who’s a premier league proven is not a sensible move because he is 29 years old. And most of the people saying this are Manchester United fans.
Is that not insane?
JUST IN: Femi Gbajabiamila reportedly forged a law, used it to collect ₦54bilion from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), claiming it was an order from Pres. Tinubu. Bayo Onanuga backs him.
He allegedly demanded 4% of NUPRC’s revenue, to be split into two. 2.5% and 1.5%, the latter will be for “upgrading of crude oil and gas metering and transparency systems” — this doesn’t exist in this context. It was his way of illegally collecting the money to himself.
Gbaja assumed office as Chief of Staff in June 2023. The incident occurred in July 2023, just weeks after Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in.
Bayo Onanuga insists the money was not illegal and that it was released under a lawful order from the President. Which is concerning, because the President does not have the legal authority to issue such orders.
Apparently, the Presidential Chief of Staff also reached out to FIRS, NIMASA and Nigerian Customs with similar tactics.

The other 17 members of the committee were not consulted.
BREAKING: Frustrated Nigerian Senators Make a U-Turn, Insist on Mandatory Electronic Transmission of Results After APC Denies Them Tickets.
It is no longer a secret that many Nigerian senators are now strongly advocating for the mandatory electronic transmission of election results directly from polling units to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) server. Interestingly, these are largely the same lawmakers who, only months ago, supported the position that electronic transmission of results should remain optional rather than compulsory.
