Excited to welcome Prof. Manish Kumar (@MembraneLab) from @UTAustin to give today's #CENTFridayWebinar.
Prof. Kumar will be discussing a channel-based paradigm for separation membranes.
Tune in at 12 ET!
We had a wonderful week at the @MIT Predictive Multiscale Materials Design short course, covering all aspects of predictive modeling, design, and manufacturing of materials. We covered a range of topics from molecular/multiscale modeling, to AI/ML, to scaling manufacturing materials from the atomic scale upwards. One of the highlights were the project presentations - it was amazing to see the ideas and results presented by the teams, illustrating also the power of modern AI tools in accelerating the process from ideation to solution within just days.
Congratulations to all participants on the on the successful completion of the short course! It was an honor to share a bit of the very special place that is MIT with you.

After an exciting day yesterday with project presentations, we'll be finishing off our #MultiscaleMaterialsDesign short course today with a deep dive into computing methods/hardware, and example applications of how we can use generative AI to solve forward and inverse materials problems.
Congratulations to M-WET graduate student Dr. @rsuj on his successful defense of his thesis! Rahul has been a student leader, an EFRC Newsletter author, a member of BES ECN, and a winner in the BES Team Science competition! We are so proud of you! @doescience@TexasChE
Check out the latest M-WET Publication by @UCSBengineering@UCSBChE Prof Squires, IF Leader Prof Doherty, and grad student Varun Hegde in @ScienceMagazine "A two-phase model that unifies and extends the classical models of membrane transport" https://t.co/vA3Qt6RJ8R
Excited to share our method for ultra-deep tissue 🧠optical sensing🔦that will help diagnosing diseases and monitoring treatments wirelessly💡 https://t.co/7G4n7SIQsl
Probably my last award as a graduate student 😅
Thanks to @MembraneLab for the the nomination and wholehearted support during my Ph.D. career.
Thanks @Materials_MRS for the recognition! #S22MRS
Thank you everyone for participating in the hybrid NAMS 2022 meeting! It would not have been possible without such a great community. We hope to see you next year in Tuscaloosa. #NAMS2022@MembraneLab@LindLabASU@kerri_l_h@vkaranikola
Deadline for Hybrid NAMS 2022 Abstract submission extended to Sunday, Feb 20th, 11:59 US PST. Lots of abstracts already but we want to give everybody an opportunity! Submit abstracts here: https://t.co/pXFLaTXoKc.
Many of you know that we were able to pull off a large (online) conference early on in the pandemic @MembraneSociety@2020NAMS. Can online/hybrid conferences address barriers to DEI at conferences? @ut_caee@TexasChe@ProfArmani@KaseyFaust
