@mmfa Imagining citing multiple times that minorities (or whatever group you pick) have the highest crimes rates but completely ignoring when a group has the highest victim rates. The more we can understand one another’s reasoning, the better for us all.
@unclebaconface @TechEmails I don’t know about others, but I think generally most people are less productive from home. It takes longer to bounce ideas back and forth, not to mention drive time if they have to visit the office. Could be delivered better, but at least he also did and does what he asks for.
@norse_creative @wholemars He’s using 20 minutes as an arbitrary amount for both cars, so 20 minutes does not effect length of time since it is being used as the same for both. I agree it’s more like 5-10 minutes, but people often spend a little more than that on long drives for snacks or bathroom.
@norse_creative @wholemars That’s assuming most people own luxury cars that can get higher MPGs or have larger tanks, but sadly a large portion of US drivers have SUVs or trucks that get an obscenely low MPG.
@MarkJam93765764 @NWMike@JoJoFromJerz If famous people used their platforms to advocate for positive change instead of negatively attacking what makes them popular, then maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess.
@WardMikeward868 @RationalEtienne@elonmusk@stats_feed@engineers_feed I agree. Per capital is definitely the best singular metric, but relying on only one or a few metrics can be misleading and has proven to do so throughout history.
