I notice that Protestants keep framing things in "do this" or "do not do this" in terms of salvation. The point for all the councils was to establish WHO IS PART OF THE CHURCH.
Nicaea 2 is saying, we, the body of Christ honor God, Theotokos, and the saints through veneration. That's it. Anathema means you are not part of the Church. But these prot slop creators keep thinking that we're saying you must kiss the icons in order for God to forgive you. It's just totally wrong framing.
@needGod_net Paul also explicitly commands the Philippians in 4:9 to practice what they heard and seen from him, not just in 1 Thessalonians. You think Paul wanted them to just do what he wrote in a short letter? This is so silly.
@EthanWayne2001 @KingMic92357513 You didn't even address the comment. You're mad at a priest for sitting with sinners, just like the pharisees were mad with Christ
@Alex_Ortodoxie@Fr_RonPG@RuslanKD Also, this channel is so unwatchable. Every 5 seconds, brainrot audio/video clip or emojis flying around. These people are not even worth discussing with. Isn't this exactly what Christ meant by "don't cast your pearls before swine"?
