Meet BaizeBook — my snooker scoring app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
Score a frame at the table, then look back at your breaks, results and match history.
Free, with no accounts, ads or subscriptions. Here’s a look inside. 🧵 1/5
@pandannzo@CloudflareDev@Cloudflare A log of the original file paths would make an undo button straightforward. Handy when a screenshot ends up in the wrong folder.
@SebastianRoehl@HabitKit I'd compare it with a version showing one larger habit grid in that same mockup. At banner size, I find the smaller panels harder to make out.
@NeuralAA@davidhaz Try splitting it into three bits: a grid of cubes, tilt on hover, then a ripple on click. Get each working before tuning how springy it feels.
A good detail for a course app: moving an embedded video into a smaller sidebar shouldn't restart the lesson.
moveBefore() preserves the iframe's state. Browser support is still limited, so check the fallback too.

Design Engineering Tip:
Moving a playing embed to another spot with appendChild restarts it. The iframe is removed, then inserted again. moveBefore() moves it, and it keeps playing:
if ("moveBefore" in slot) slot.moveBefore(player, null)
else slot.insertBefore(player, null)
Deno is joining Cloudflare. Deno Deploy shuts down in six months.
I'd start a migration by listing the Deno APIs and hosted services the app depends on, then moving one route before attempting the whole app.

Expo's new write-up on agent skills has a useful testing idea:
Give the agent a normal task without naming the skill. Check whether it finds it, follows the guidance in the code, and produces a working app.

Saw someone share a project they were working on. A day or two later, someone else posted the same thing which was apparently made with 1 prompt.
I don’t think there was any bad intent, but I wonder how that feels for the original dev. Would it put you off sharing work early?
I’d be interested to see where both projects are in a month.
